Goings-on

Well hello everyone! How was your week? Mine was good and busy. Hopefully everyone is done with schooling for the time being, unless you are going to summer school. For those of us who work, hopefully things aren't too bad :)

The AWOL check has reduced the numbers in Gladius. We lost Shimas but I figured we would. When I talked with him he didn't seem keen on being part of the DB anymore. Oh well, that happens. I'm glad the rest of you answered the check. Now I know who is really here and I know you don't have an excuse to not participate in stuff :P

This weeks winner of the Wednesday trivia is Kazarelth. He had all the correct answers. Only a few more rounds of trivia fun to go! I do plan on keeping that around but after a little break. The Great Jedi War, or GJW for short, is coming up soon hopefully and we'll all be needed to pull our weight in it. This competition is huge and effects the entire Clan. The higher we place the sweeter the reward and I'm hoping we can add another capital ship to the Clan's forces. That would be awesome!

The Clan run-on is still going on. There is still time to make a few posts and be considered for the medal award. If anyone needs any help developing a post just email me. Also, if you are looking to break into the ACC, I am a staff member who is available for training/qualification matches. I am not biased so bring your A game if you want to pass.

The Clan trivia thing is going on. I did find where that was being done. It's on the newer Tarentum message board and you'll have to sign up for that in order to see the questions. Here's a link. Alright now for some award and SA test news. Tyrus was awarded the Emerald Star Crescent for sending in the last Gaming Death and finally the LSS for winning the trivia two weeks ago. The process to award those is slower since I don't have access to award that particular medal. Sorry folks. Brimstone passed the IRC Basics test. That's it for this week! Competitions

Competition participation is still not where I'd like to see it. Especially from mid-level Journeymen who want that coveted lightsaber and Dark Jedi Knight rank. Got to work for it folks and the best way to do that is to participate in the many competitions that abound.

There's always the weekly SA trivia held on IRC. In the #SA channel and on the message board every Saturday at approximately 1300 EST. Make sure you check the DB news page for weekly updates.

Oh and there's the Inter Club Training Event or ICTE that happens every Saturday in the #outerrim channel. You'll need some games for that. There's also the Gaming nights during the week if you happen to fancy a game. I'm not sure when these happen or what schedule rotation it is on so just hop into #dbgaming to see what's going on.

Ramblings and Other Such Things

Work Related Fun – It was very busy for me this past week. I've had to do more lifting than normal so I'm a little worn out. Good thing I had Friday off! Dr. Pepper flavoring smells very nice, so you know. Anyways, Thursday I had a shipment of white ink that totaled over a thousand pounds. That was...fun...I had to lift twenty plastic buckets at least twice, once to get them off the ground and once inside the container I was to ship them in in under a half hour with no help. All I can say is that doesn't beat the two hundred plus metal buckets that needed to be transfered from one container to another in maybe forty minutes and one person was available to help. Now that's no fun at all. I'm thankful that situation hasn't happened for many months.

Thought of the Week – "This new Pope is gonna have to learn to ride around in the old Pope Mobile, even if it smells like musty old man in that bullet proof cell."
