CNS Consul Report, 7/9/07

An excerpt from my upcoming DV article about examining a Vong in the lab:

Welcome To another Consul report, hee yah! Heh heh. I've been watching too many bad martial arts movies. But I so love them oh well. I mean, I grew up with Bruce Lee and Sonny Chiba movies. They were my heroes- and you wonder why I am a weirdo.

I'd like everyone to take time to breathe and get focused before the War. We are going to win this thing and crush our enemies. Now more than ever, the forces of Sadow are powerful. We are well armed, full of the Force, and drenched in the Dark Side. I could make a bad pun here heh.

Anyhow, on to business.

I believe we have a solid, motivated summit right now. I have seen solid and regular reporting, lots of medals and promotions, many emails, and some message board activity. As well, we have a gamer group together, which is a very good thing. Horus was our lead here, and thanks to him for his efforts. If you are a gamer and want to contribute, see Horus. I highly encourage you to.

Our Envoy system is settling in nicely, with some good work from those involved. Remember, your Clan and House Envoys are here to help you. Have a question? Need to find something DB related? They can help. Not only that, but any leader of this Summit would be glad to help you, from Battleteam leaders on up. And remember, your leaders are always your advocates. Have a question or problem? I'll help you personally if I can.

Also, take the time to cc your superiors if you do something. If you submit some fictions, play matches, or whatnot it helps us to know. It's harder to track overall activity, given that some times you don't always earn a medal or cluster from a competition. Knowing what you are up to helps us know how to reward your good efforts.

Update your character sheets for the ACC as well, if you plan to participate in Great Jedi War ACC events and need to. I believe Sai and Manji have skills in this area, and they might be willing to help you if you have a question and ask nicely. If you don't, wellthe bacta tanks are over that way.

I'd like to congratulate some people on some achievements. First, to our former Consul Manesh who got himself a Ruby Crescent. To Muz, who is now a Dark Jedi Master. To Methusel, who got himself promoted by working hard. To my apprentice Imperial who finally got herself Knighted. Way to go, all.

Thanks to: Imperial for doing the Clan DV update, to Tsingtao for compiling a killer document on CNS System Defense strategy that will be used in this next war, all of you who have been taking SA courses, writing, and gaming, and the Conclave for their strategy discussions.

Things in progress: The history of the VSD Covenant, a Clan Wiki Manager, updating of mailing lists, a status report by our Proconsul from the Houses, a discussion of our strategy against the Vong, and our GJW strategy. I'll be compiling a Status Report for the GM and DGM shortly. Look for some cool articles by yours truly next DV, dealing with the Vong. I was also asked to do an interview with a DV reporter. I think it will be interesting and fun to read.

Here's an excerpt from the interview:

After he confirmed this, a full-scale effort to modernize and fortify our holdings was driven into place. Most of our cities and installations are veritable fortresses at the moment, with tight security and a heavy military presence. We forcibly acquired Spaarti cylinders and clone technology from a rogue group of Kaminoans on Jaginos, and have been turning out alchemically enhanced clone soldiers for some time. Our resource assets have also been secured and fortified, and output at the Last Breath baradium mines has been tripled ."
