Greetings to everyone,

We are moving into the second week of the Seventh Great Jedi War. Are you involved yet?

====== Happenings ======

1) Loss of a Brother-in-Arms

Grand Master Sarin tonight announced the sad news that a former member of Taldryan, KP Baron Zarco, has passed away. This is pretty unsettling news and I really do feel bad for his wife and family, they have my prayers and thoughts going through this difficult time. 2) GJW Day One Standings

After the first week of the GJW I can see we have made an amazing showing already. Right now we have 40 different members involved in at least one event of the seven open. Our Run-on has done very well, should continue to be a winning submission if everyone keeps up the great job there. Our Gaming Ladder participation has been high, but we still need to push up in both. We owned the first Fiction rounds, with 57 submissions passing CSP who had 51 submissions, plus ours overall were graded higher. We are still waiting on the grading of the top 15 for extra points in the two fiction topics that have ended. The ACC will need to be a priority as we move on, we are currently sixth here.

Overall, we have been doing a wonderful job for the first week of the War. We have nearly all our Elder members participating (Pyralis, get going!), a large number of Equites, plus many new members in the Journeymen class. If we just keep up our activity over the next five weeks remaining well win this thing. The other Clans will fade out; we cant give up at any point, just stay strong like Taldryan always does.

3) GJW Day Two Events

-Gaming Ladders-

Both ladders are moving day after day and we need some folks to keep up with these. In the JO/JA/JK Ladder we have Vardar, Mav, Sharad, I, and Jac are in the bonus point area as of now with Nexus, Shadow, Ace, and Itachi all coming close to joining that. Once a few more jump up we will really own this ladder. In the BF2/EAW/Other Ladder its a tougher going for us as Goad has been our sole member in the bonus point area up until yesterday when Chaos and Shadow moved up. If you have any of these other games try and play whenever you can.

-Fiction: Dazed-

This fiction is a 2 page minimal one, where you are to write from the perspective opposite of your character. If your character is in the Shroud, write from a dark jedi in your home system's point of view and vice versa. If you are in our Run-on with the fleet you are obviously in the Shroud so you need to write about someone back in the KrTal System or the opposite if you are back there fictionally. What would be happening back in our system? I would think you would be working with the part of the fleet still there, working on one of the planets with defense, or anything else in relation to being prepared for anything. You could write about what youve heard over the Holonet and just the reactions going on back home. All up to you of course, its your fiction. We need as many as possible to do this event again just like the last. Make sure to email your entries to PCON Chaosrain and myself when you send them to the GJW Staff. These are due Saturday night before midnight, no late entries!

-Poetry: Drowning in Fog-

The first real Poetry/Graphic/Other Event activity is here in the form of poetry. This isnt a hard one to do, not too much need to make a decent submission. I know we do have some really good writers though and hopefully they will place well in this one. Everyone should try this and submit at least something. Make sure to email your entries to PCON Chaosrain and myself when you send them to the GJW Staff. These are due Saturday night before midnight, no late entries!

-Graphics: The Whites of their Eyes-

Here is the second Other event area that is open now and is very accessible for anyone. This event is showing your first impressions of seeing a Vong. You dont have to be a master in Photoshop, though for those who are more power to you, to get into this. You can draw something and scan it; you can even use MS Paint for a good submission. Make sure to email your entries to PCON Chaosrain and myself when you send them to the GJW Staff. These are due Saturday night before midnight, no late entries!

-ACC Event-

This is one area we are currently behind in, and behind I mean in last place. We have several folks participating already, but if you are qualified to play in the Antei Combat Centre try and get in on this event and help move our placement up. This event runs throughout the GJW so we need some decent effort put forth here.

-Run-on Event-

Jac is our main coordinator on our Run-on efforts and has done an excellent job so far, big thanks to all those involved. This week Halc and Kaek are helping out more with the organizing and running of it since Jac is busier in real life, but hes still running the show to some degree. If are involved with this you know whats happening as youve been emailed on it, but if you want to get involved just shoot an email to Jac and Halc about jumping in and they will help you.

That covers everything going right now. There is a War Game event, but that is only involving a War Council from each Clan consisting of a few members moving our forces around a war map. Our activity levels in the various ladders do affect this event so keeping up the activity in everything else will keep us going here.

These regular events are not our priority until the Great Jedi War comes to an end, but they are still there for those wanting something more to do and count for your Promotion Trials. The CTF games played during the GJW I will count for the SHAFT event, but CFs will be awarded through the GJW side of things. Some nice Crescents and a pwntastic Warbanner are being offered though for the winner of that event this month so play those CTF matches when you can!

====== Promotions, Awards, SA, Etc. ======

Congrats on some recent promotions since my last report, several of these are due to early activity in the Great Jedi War already. Special props to Vlad here for making it to Dark Jedi Knight, well deserved!

Vladet Xavier was promoted to Dark Jedi Knight! (DJK) Itachi Uchiha was promoted twice up to Guardian! (GRD) Komari Vosa was promoted twice up to Protector! (PRT) Wolverine Excelsior Berkana was promoted to Novice! (NOV)

Two transfers in since the conflict started on the 15th. A big welcome back to a few folks here, glad to have you with us again.

====== Is that It? ======

As I know you know by now if you didnt already, the Great Jedi War is a pretty big focal point for us over the next five weeks remaining. We have started out with an incredible fury and I really am impressed with all the people coming out and representing Taldryan so well. What we need to do now is keep our eyes focused on getting to the end, pacing ourselves enough but still participating in whatever we can, and keeping up good sportsmanship when interacting with the other Clans. We are the First Clan of the Brotherhood; lets show everyone why we have that title!
