Crimson vanguard status report.

Greetings Crimson Vanguard, Round four is done, and we are pwning up a storm.

Aedile Ricco Vao, listed some of our active house members in this round that have shown the level of their commitment. I would also like to congratulate them on their success, and congratulate us all on our progress and performance to date in this war.

Ace, Itachi, Gob, Keirdagh, Trivium, Crix, Kara, and Blade. Congrats all.

Four down, and two to go! So far activity is high, everyone’s been on IRC lately and competing in events. We are getting closer to victory with every passing day, and every event submission.

Other than the GJW events, CV continues it’s study. A few SA courses have reached my mailbox for this week. If you have a few minutes to spare and need something to do, just take the next shuttle to the Shadow Academy, and filled yourself with knowledge. SA courses can also be used as objectives for promotions, SA courses are a good way to help you low journeymen climb the ranks.

A short while ago there was an incident with password security. Taldryan’s GJW MB password was not acquired by the enemy. Password security is very important, especially clan passwords. If someone asks you for a password to something that is vital to Taldryan’s victory please continue to direct them to the Consul, and Proconsul as well as our house summit. Your personal passwords are very important also. Changing passwords regularly is a good practice, remember to use passwords that are not relevant, or linked to the account. Such as using momsbeefstew as a password for email account, instead of using something like emailinbox. I know these are crappy suggestions, and you all ready know about and practice password security, but just humor me.

Graphics, a visual work of digital art. This war has had a few Graphics(GFX) rounds so far. I’ve seen a few entries via the clan mailing list.

After the war I’ll will start a topic on CV’s section of the house message boards just for GJW GFX submissions. There everyone can show off their artwork, and ask questions about visual devices used, etc. Basically a thread to show off your images and brag about how wicked they are.

Future BT comps: post GJW everything will start up again. Including battleteam competitions, against Shadow Morph. I have a few ideas in the process of being hammered out and detailed. If you have any suggestions of stuff you’d like to do just send me an email and we’ll figure it out. A possible competitions coming soon against SM, will be team JO FFA’s(Jedi Outcast Free For All’s), and our beloved CTF(Capture The Flag).

Archanis Champion so to return! Post GJW the feud between CV and SM will once again flare up. Pitting BT’s against each other, and giving You the opportunity to compete for the title, Champion of house Archanis! Since the revival of this most sacred competition, know one has yet won the title of Champion. I’d like to see the title go to a member of CV who has proven his/her self to be an outstanding contributor to their house and BT. To be an outstanding contributor, is not difficult for you all. You have shown that you are all more than capable of pwning up a storm and raking in the points.

So far week five has been good and, week four looks as if it will be interesting. Keep up the good work and add to our Glorious Clans total point count. Gaming matches in the bf2/other ladder are very important so if you own those platforms you shouldn’t have much trouble finding matches for those games.

Beware of match dodging. Match dodging has caused us to lose some points due to cheating by other members. Match dodging is when you and another player are paired for a match, and for some reason a player avoids the other, or cops out of the match to be played. Another way used against us was a player signing up for a match via the bot, and no one else signed up to play him. When he exited IRC without removing himself from the bot’s list, a few members from opposing clan’s immediately signed up after he left. Trying to get points by making it look like match dodging had taken place. Please be careful of this, when in doubt ask someone from your clan, the Taldrya are always a big help.
