Consul Report #23 - August 22nd, 2007

Hey all,

Not a normal report here, because this is the final week of the Great Jedi War and that's all I'm talking about.

1) GJW Standings

How can I say this...we have been amazing since the start and still are on top? That'll do. Last week we had 13 Fictions and 18 in each of the Graphic rounds. We continue to hold first in the JO/JA/JK Ladder. We have done an outstanding job in the ACC Ladder with just a few scoring in the placement area. Our Run-on is about to be finish and is one of the best the Clan has ever done. The Wargame event is showing our dominance in all the other events as we are well ahead in first place there. Simply put, you guys are amazing. Let's finish this off well.

2) GJW Final Week

We have one fiction event that's due Saturday night; it has no limit and should be open to many of you. The graphic event is pretty wide-open as well, and we need to still push in this what we can so try your hand here. The SA Event is a weird one, but it's something. For that all you have to do is take Shadow Academy courses this week and for each pass you get 1 point added to the Poetry/GFX Event. Right now I've seen 4 Fiction submissions, 4 Graphic/Mixed Media submissions, and 13 people take at least one SA course. Do what you can, only three more days!

3) Finishing the GJW with our Best

I've really been proud of Taldryan during this War, much more than last year's efforts. While we did great then, what we have done now is just something else. The other Clans were really geared to take us down, yet again they didn't. I wasn't sure our participation in all the events would be good, but it was and usually in a big way. I hoped for at least 40% of the Clan to participate in the War, and we are beyond that with about 51% of the entire Clan involved and nearly 75% of ACO+ members involved. You all have done an amazing job; I have to say it again.

We are set to win this, but I hope everyone continues to push for the next three days. If you haven't joined the efforts yet, now is the time. Take a SA course, try your hand at one of the Fiction or Graphic, and join into some Gaming stuff. As I've said from the beginning, I want everyone to do what they can when they can, and if you are only able to join us now do that.
