Dark Greetings Gladius,

If you read my initial introduction last week you know that I have been selected to fill the position of Quaestor for House Gladius. This first week has been fairly uneventful on my side of things, I've spent most of the time getting myself acclimated again with the Brotherhood and rekindling old friendships with the members of Tarentum. I've been on IRC chatting up a storm in #Tarentum, something I suggest you do as well if you don't already.  



As I said, not a whole lot went down this week within Gladius. I do have some plans on the horizon, but nothing has been formed concretely as of yet. My main concern is to get you guys active, having fun, and dominating the DJB at large at all times. I'm going to let Frosty handle the weekly reporting of the hard statistics within the House. The transfers, promotions, medals, SA courses, etc. He did a fine job with his first Aedile report and I really see no reason to just repeat the same information that he's already sent to the House.  



That being said, just what will be in my reports you ask? Well, a little of this and a little of that. My reports are going to be more of weekly addresses to the House. I'll focus on the larger picture, I know the statistical side is safe in the capable hands of Frosty. Most of what I'll send to you each week is late breaking news, exciting new projects, and just general random insanity.  



Speaking of random insanity, isn't it just insane to see me in this position? I, for one, am completely shocked by it and still, after a week, continue to be floored by this turn of events. I made my pledge to Bloodfyre a week ago on IRC, and now I'll make it to you guys. I pledge to do everything I can for the betterment of House Gladius and Clan Tarentum. If I have to coax, cajole, threaten, intimidate, or murder random people for the cause, I'll do it willingly and without any hesitation. Clan Tarentum has been my home for 2 years now and I will do everything within my power to ensure that my home remains a fun place for everyone.  



Now that I have the random insanity out of the way, let me get on to some real news. I'm currently seeking applications for the combined position of Rollmaster/House Envoy for House Gladius. I'm not going to sit here and rattle off what is expected from the successful applicant, I feel if you have any business taking the position you should know what you'd be expected to do.  



Qualifications aren't going to be too stringent, I'm not really interested in your rank or how long you've been here. What I want is someone highly motivated and willing to put in their time and effort to work for the overall betterment of House Gladius. The only restrictions I'm going to impose are that you must be fluent in the English language. If it's a second language to you I'll be a little less strict, but if English is your primary language I expect you to have a very firm grasp of written communication, including grammar, syntax, and spelling. This position will be one that his fairly high profile, so I want someone with the ability to come across as an intelligent and professional individual.  



If you think the position is right for you please email your application to myself and Frosty. Tell us what you'd do with the position, immediate and future goals, and include a sample letter to new members introducing them to the House and the Dark Brotherhood. I'm not really going to impose a time limit on the application process, but sooner is better than later. I want the best person for the job, but I won't wait forever. If a really great application finds its way to my inbox that person will most likely get the position.
