Hiyas folks. Well, here is the Post GJW Consul Report.

Let me address this right off the bat.

Things are finally cooling down after the War. There are still a few medals and such to be recommended, but there is a reason a few of them are waiting. When the main GJW awards got done by Sarin, they were set up in the midst of the last week. Some got overlooked, or people were so busy working for the Clan in the War that the recs took time. Quite understandable.

I imagine some of you are wondering about promotions and medals. Let's put it this way- with the tremendous amount of effort that your Summit put in during the War, we are a little tired. Most of your summit is right now on LOA, and rightfully so as they deserve a break

(and so do I). Things will get done, never fear. I always see that they do. Have faith in your leadership, and relax.

One thing I learned right away when I joined the DB is that if you whine- you will wait. You know who you are. :P

Things in the works:

An upcoming Clan Saga/ HUGE competition. You know, when I was thrust into the job of Consul, one of the things I wanted to see happen was more fun competitions with out of the box ideas. F-U-N is the key word. Malisane, Xanos, Shin'Ichi, Quejo, Ashia and I are cooking something up right now. Look for the debut in early October, so that gives you some time to relax and chill.

My evil sister will be making her debut as an antagonist… Anaxela is Macron's big sister, for those of you who haven't heard of her. She has teamed up with Severina from the True Brotherhood, and they have nasty designs on our Planetary system and an army of thugs. With us being weakened from the Vong Incursion, they fell this is the time to strike and take our resources... but we will make their suffering legendary, even in Hell. No one takes this system- Overlord's Orders. Besides, after the Vong.... anything else is a joke. we will pummel them, never fear.

This promises to be fun, have some innovative events, and one of the best ideas for a Clan wide saga/competition that I have yet seen. We will have Wiki pages, maybe even a webpage for the thing. Look for forum run-ons, acc events hopefully… writing, GFX, gaming, and maybe some outside the box things. I'd like to see the CNS chess thing re-visited that was a lot of fun.

AWOL check

Expect an AWOL check when the LOA's are over. I am intending to trim dead weight. This is not personal, or a punishment. It is hard to oversee a large list of people when lots of them are inactive. If you are active, you'll be fine. Otherwise we'll notify people before they are sent to the Rogues. If that happens to you and you want to come back and be active, just let us know.

Thanks again to all my stalwart Clansmen and women for the awesome performance in the GJW. You know, with just a bit of tweaking we could take second or higher next time. What would help are more gamers, and less ACC timeouts. Know a gamer that does SW games and isn't in the DB? Recruit them!

Otherwise, we did very well and I am proud. No one has touched us yet in a run-on competition. And the final rally for the SA was awesome. Thanks to all of you who gamed, did gfx, wrote, did acc…. You make me proud. I am not going to detail every award here, as there have been many.

Let me take the time for this, though. All of you should thank Ashura for being the most ass-kicking Envoy ever. I am so incredibly grateful to have him, and so is our collective summit. Even during the midst of the GJW, he still kept up with Envoy duties. Not only that, he was one of our top participants. That ROCKS. We love you, Ashura.
