Trivia Time Issues

For some reason, when Kalak runs trivia at 4:00 pm GMT, some of you end up getting on an hour late, and then claiming that trivia ran an hour early. Well, unless I can see some actual proof of that, I’ve got to assume that Kalak is indeed hosting the trivia at 4:00 pm GMT. Since there seems to be confusion about EDT vs. EST, which I generally provide as a reference for members who are more familiar with North American time zones, I’m just going to state GMT from now on. It is up to you to figure out when the event runs in your time zone; there are plenty of websites out there that can assist you with this.

Course Updates

A few more courses now have images in them: CP history, capital starship studies, and starfighter studies. We’re working on getting images into as many courses as we can, though it’s a bit of a slow go as they can be a royal pain to get them to be the right size and in a good location.

Currently, Old Republic History and Freighter/Transport courses are being worked on, though I don’t know quite when they’ll be done. There’s no set time table. Related to new courses, we’ve been discussing the removal of marksmanship (those who passed it would still have it on their dossiers). The course, simply put, is too easy. So, we either make the course harder, or eliminate it, and take important elements and put them in the Weapons course. We’ll let you know when a final decision is made.

Scrolls of Foundation

I’ve sent a request off to Sildrin and Jac to get the request form and guidelines updated, but for now, just a general reminder that you can use the Scroll of Indoctrination form to request a Scroll of Foundation. Just use the “mentoring” box (currently in the middle) and I’ll figure out which award you’re asking for.

Degree Progress

Earlier today, I sent off the final degree proposal to Sarin and Muz. There will probably be some tweaking and what not, but I just wanted to let you know that we are indeed making progress on the project.

Murder Mystery Competition

Details on this event will be going out to clan and house leaders later this week. Bug them for the details :P

Conclusion

I will be on an 80% leave next week (Sept. 16-22), so Dacien will have run of the Shadow Academy. Also, I have decided to try and keep the main SA page updated with the most important news. So, when I go on leave, it will actually say on there that “the HM is currently on leave.” Enjoy the rest of the week.
