Clan Report: Volume 2 Report#2 for Week Ending 22/09/07

Introduction

Apologies for the delayed report Arcona. As forewarned I had a busy weekend in the pub and I'm only getting this out to you now... I am hoping, however, that the news within this report will be welcomed by all and be worth the extra wait!

Throughout the past week I spent a lot of my spare time on IRC meeting with members from both Arcona and the the wider DB. I got to catch up with people I had previous experience with whilst also meeting some new faces (well, streams of text :P). I have found this most rewarding and hope to be online as much this week. I've also completed my proposal entitled "Reverance", the details of which, are down below. The Dark Council are in full support of this proposal and I believe that it will help with the rebuilding of the Clan. I hope that you, the members and lifeblood of this Clan, will be prepared to work with it and support these changes.

<span class="style10">This week the GJW awards have FINALLY been approved by the MAA's office and added to dossiers! Unfortunately your previous summit had not done anything about your rewards but with the help of Alex d`Tana I was able to compile a set of recommendations and submit them for approval last Sunday. However, with true Arconan luck, GM Jac Cotelin then updated the website dossier system and my recommednations were all pulled from the database. Unfortunate timing I guess. In summary, I requested 4 promotions and 22 medals, all thoroughly deserved: </span>

New Clan Arcona Fleet Unveiled <>

Most of you will have read GM Sarin's news post and seen the new Clan fleets. My thanks go out to Dash, Etah, Kieran, Oberst and Khobai for their assistance with ours. It took a lot of debating to find the fleet that would best fit our points allocation. Unfortunately we have lost all our old fleet in an attempt to modernise and revitalise our fleet. This has/will upset some of the older members but you need to understand that I backed the fleet that was presented to me with the best argument. My selection was what I felt was best for our Clan - simple as that. Here it is for those of you who haven't seen it:

Project Resurrection: "Reverance"<>

I originally planned something extremely radical when I first arrived as Consul. Most members who I have consulted with have agreed that it would either make or break Arcona. It would have been a truly unique and very creative concept, but I think that percentage wise there was more chance of it being detrimental to the Clan, than really helping it. At this stage Alex has helped persuade me to take a more conservative approach to the Arcona rebuild. Therefore I have prepared a proposal which you MUST read by clicking HERE.

The recent AWOL checks were a precursor to the implementation of "Reverance" and I will be e-mailing the Master-At-Arms once I submit this report, so that he can begin the change over. There will be an e-mail going out to the Clan with further instructions after the House change.

Available Clan Position Updates <>

As most of you will be aware, Strategos and I agreed it was best for him to step down as Proconsul and enjoy some standard Clan life for a while. Proconsul has not been opened for applications yet, nor will it be until I feel it necessary to do so. I am receiving all the support I need from a range of Brotherhood members both inside and outside Arcona. The Quaestor for Galeres is also currently free and once "Reverance" is implemented then this will appointment will be dealt with. Finally, I'd liek to congratulate DJK Mayda Ferium on her appointment to Clan Envoy. Mayda had been doing an excellent job on an interim basis since my appointment, so I decided to make it official the Knight Commander of the Envoys has fully endorsed her appointment. Congratulations - and the rest of you stay sahrp for future oppertunities.

Things are slowly picking up and I'm hoping to get a lot more work done over the coming week. I look forward to meeting many more of you in #arcona and if you yourselves have any interesting proposals or ideas for the Clan then please let me know about them. I am here to serve you and facilitate the growth of Arcona - but I can't do that without you guys!!!
