*House News: *

The House and Clan has several competitions running right now, I encourage you to check out the list of available events which I have included in this report. They are a great chance to show your skills and maybe earn yourself some shinies.

Also, I am looking at the possibility of reopening the Nightshade Battleteam. If you are interested in being a part of this team, please email me as soon as possible. I would like to have at least six members before the team reopens. Being part of a Battleteam is a fun way of getting to know some of your housemates a bit better, learning to work as a smaller team for the improvement of the House as a whole. It also gives you even more chances for shinies since the teams can hold their own competitions for their members.

Due to a busy week I haven’t had a chance to focus on the House website or wiki pages as much as I wanted to, so those are still being worked on as I can.

House Direction:

We are always looking toward the future, but should neither neglect the present, nor forget the past. House Caliburnus has run the gambit, from being the penultimate force of CSP to being closed at one point in its history. However, the spirit, the heart that is Caliburnus has never failed, it has always shown through, and the House always pulls itself back up and returns to its rightful place at the top. How it accomplishes that feat is through the dedicated efforts of the members who proudly wear the mantle of “Member of House Caliburnus”. Each of you hold that special power to aid this House in maintaining its grand tradition of excellence, and for those of you willing to put in even a little bit more effort, we can claim even further glories for this noble House. By remembering where we have been, and knowing where we are now, we will never lose sight of where we are going. By working together, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.

House Plans:

In the near future, I would like to return to the project of mapping out our home planet, Ptolomea. This is a very graphics intense project, so if any of you are graphically talented and wish to be included in this project, please email me.

I am also working on several competition ideas that will provide even more opportunities for Caliburnus members to collect many shinies as well as having a lot of fun.

Striving for success is necessary to achieve success, but those who give up on trying at the first sign of an obstacle will fail. Those who stand idly by thinking they can not succeed only prove themselves right because they fail to try. If you do nothing, you can not succeed. If you try and fail, then you will learn and succeed in trying again. Get out of the mindset that says “I don’t know enough, I’m not good enough, I can’t do this.” That is a mindset for self-defeat. Try, learn, grow, and you will find the right path to success, and you will find yourself achieving your goals. Strive harder and you will come to realize that the things you once thought were obstacles no longer exist, and you will have surpassed your own first expectations. In all things, you must try, because if you do not, the only thing you succeed in doing is nothing.
