King of the Hill Tournament

The first round of King of the Hill has come to a close. For those of you curious, last days results are at the bottom of the report.

But now, the first three Champions are:

For the JK Series: RevengeX who reigned five times as King.
For the BF Series: Malidir who reigned five times as King.
For the Misc Series: Dakari who reigned three times as King.

Congratulations to these three on their victories, Crescents and Pendants of Blood. It seems well have to increase the handicap for consecutive Kings so other people have a chance to take them down. An explanation about the end results: I decided not to count a term if the ladder had no activity for the day. So Misc Gaming lost two days and BF gaming lost one.

A quick update on the continuation of the competition. This next week I wont be running the King of the Hill, as Im intolerably sick and keeping up with the new King announcements is iffy at best. So instead, to celebrate Columbus Day/Canadas Turkey Day this week will be a Double CF week. So any and all matches played til next Saturday will score you double the usual amount of CFs, and as an added bonus you may play Sunday as well and report them as regular Gaming Night matches. King of the Hill will be back the following week with a slight tweak to the rules.

Halo 3 Competition

The Halo 3 Comp ends tonight so make sure you get all your match results into me as soon as possible so I can tally the results. Remember only one of the participants has to send an email with the link so try not to report the same matches over and over.

Bryar Bowl With a Vengeance

The time draws nigh. Soon the masters of bryar will engage one another in combat to win a coveted piece of the Golden Bryar Set. Duga is waiting on a few more signups so that we can hit 32 participants, so if you havent done so already go sign up. The Bryar Bowl is a Taldryan-sponsored event, so you can direct questions over to Duga as hes the guy in charge. For those of you participating in the Bryar Bowl, keep in mind that your matches reported for that CANNOT be reported for regular Gaming Night activity. This is to prevent double rewarding, as the BB awards Clusters of Fire as well. Though you cant report these matches, they also dont count towards your 6-match limit.

BF2142 First Strike Mod

It was brought to my attention on the Gaming Forum that modders had just released a SW Total Conversion mod for BF2142. Unfortunately, I dont have BF2142 so I cant check it out, but the mod does look very interesting, and seems to be better done than the regular Battlefront games. If anyone is interested in checking it out Id love to hear some feedback on it. If its a decent game and theres enough DBers interested we could allow it for Gaming Night matches and have them reported as BF2.

So a slight rise in matches played. An insane 350 matches were reported (last week was 75) with 554 CFs being reccd, plus the Kings bonus CFs, which will easily put it over 650 CFs for the week. Medals for this week will be reccd when ICTE finishes so you should expect them tomorrowish.

The ICTE continued to rise in activity last Saturday. A total of 72 games were played and 146 Clusters of Fire were awarded. Three members qualified for All-Star, but the GEs Munro Burton took the title again followed by RevengeX and Dranik. The full results can be found at the ICTE Archive.
