Plenty of Important News… It’s hard to figure out what I want to put first

Degree Situation

The first academic degree retroactive/grandfather period has ended. Honestly, the response wasn’t quite what I expected, but that is the choice of the members. 16 Service Degrees and 11 Dark Maven- Leadership degrees will be hitting inboxes later this evening. Thanks to Natth a'Niel and Spears, I had passing records going back a good long time, so I was able to confirm whether or not members had met the 85% rule. Look for phase 3 (the next two degrees) to come out later this week.

New Alchemy EP Needed

The position of EP for Sith Alchemy is open for applications. You can find the general requirements on this wiki article. Applications are due no later than this Friday, October 19.

Murder Mystery League

I’m still awaiting the reply of one team before I can announce the winners. While this event didn’t get as much participation as I’d hoped, I’m not quite ready to give up. We’ll try the murder mystery event again next year, but coming this December/January, there will be a similar event (who stole Christmas), so get ready for that.

Character Histories

Due to an issue with the site, Dacien and myself are, as of this writing, unable to judge character histories. Jac should be looking into it, but I apologize to anyone who has not yet received an approval or denial.

Trivia

Participation in message board trivia is going down. Unless it picks up, we may have to stop offering the message board event. Kalak posts them every weekend on the Shadow Academy message board for those interested.

Course Count, Competition, and ID lines

As I write this, 4,881 courses have been passed at the Shadow Academy since I became Headmaster (this does not include tests of lore or degrees). We’re approaching 5,000, which means that there will be another X000th course passed competition run. I’m working on getting a new course but I may not have one ready. Also, with the advent of the degrees (thanks to Dacien), look for the SA part of your ID line to become degree only, rather than something for every course.

Real Life Stuff of Note

<p>In two weeks, I get off the training program, which means I go salary, which means long hours ahead. Don’t worry, I won’t be leaving you. On that note, though, October 24-26, I will be at the central office again, without any sort of internet access (how will I ever survive? I’ll take a book :p ). I’ll post a reminder right before I leave for those few days.</p><p>Also, this week, I have a couple turn arounds, which means I close and then open the next morning. So, you might encounter some delayed responses from me this week.</p>
