Want to talk power, Schutta?!

I love that quote. It is from the comic Star Wars Legacy #16, right before Cade Skywalker makes Darth Talon bleed out of her nose, mouth, eyes, and ears. I am such a dork.
Anyways, Welcome to another edition of the Grand Master report! There have been several position changes and updates on the Dark Brotherhood website since my last report. I have been pushing the Dark Summit and Dark Council to update all policies and projects relating to their positions and they have responded well. Details below:
<p>News</p>
<p> New Herald: Shikyo Sasuke Keibatsu has been selected as the 20th Herald. Shikyo's selection was based on his excellent application and his ability to add onto our large collection of robes, sabers, and warbanners. Congratulations Shikyo and welcome to the Dark Council!<p> T:Wiki Selected: Congratulations to Astronicus "Tron" Aurelius Sadow on his selection as the new Wiki Tribune. Tron has hit the ground running with numerous additions to the Dark Brotherhood wiki as well as a reorganization of the wiki staff. Congrats Tron and keep up the great work.
T:SWG Selected: Dakari Kaeth has been selected as the new Star Wars Galaxies Tribune. Dakari has updated several rules concerning the DBPA in addition to the creation of three new competitions. Great work Dakari!
Update: Honorary Clan and Family Name Policy: The MAA has recently finished an update on the Honorary Clan and Family Name policy. This document was out of date and required a few additions to it. You can find the document at http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/policiesandprojects/HonoraryClanAndFamilyNamePolicy.doc
Update: GJW8 Storyline added to the Policies and Projects page: We have uploaded a copy of the Great Jedi War 8 storyline to the website so that people can refer to it for their on-going fictions. We are about to upload another version of this (with pretty pictures), but you can the current and future version at: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/policiesandprojects/GJW8%20Storyline.doc
Update: DB Policy on Races: The Combat Master has uploaded an updated version of the DB Policy on Races. This document spells out what races can be used in the Dark Brotherhood and how to go about creating a custom race. Youc an find the document located at: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/policiesandprojects/DB%20Policy%20on%20Races.doc.
Update: Jac/Muz/Sarin project: Over the past several weeks Jac/Muz/I have been working on a major project for the Dark Brotherhood. I would love to tell you guys what this project is, but I fear that whole "Rebirth" backlash. I know its not fair to tease, but I will: http://darkjedibrotherhood.com/Sarin/fp.jpg. If you are paying attention, you will notice 150 or so imgaes. Good times!
Update: DB Plot: Raken has recently finished version one of the Dark Brotherhood plot continuation from GJW. This four page document details the trials and tribulations of a DC on the run. It also co-stars Jedi Hunter Rannik, who can beat that? :p
Update: Artifact Swap: I have emailed the six Consuls of the Dark Brotherhood with an offer to trade in all of the stupid artifacts currently in the Dark Brotherhood. I am attempting to swing us away from Gandalf's Staff/Elminster's Pipe/Dumbledore's pensive type artifacts. Look for a few changes to your Clan Vaults.
DB Wide Competitions: The following DB wide competitions are available for you to participate in:
<li>October MTs: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/comments.asp?ID=N:4990
<li>Bryar Bowl: http://www.taldryan.net/bryarbowl/
<p>Awards</p>
Congratulations: Medals: Faeril/Spears/Nath on their Dark Crosses, and Shad on his GC!
Congratulations: Promotions: Dakari on SBL, and a boat load of people on Apprentice :p
Congratulations: Work: Tron on the Wiki, Dakari on SWG, Shad on gaming, Kir on pwning the Clones, Jac on the new coding, Mejas/Macron/Phoenix on running big competitions, Lucien on consistent KCB reports, Raken on the new storyline, and Cipher/Derev on winning the Halo Competition (Nice Armor!)!
Quote of the Week: Raken: i'm raising my boys like spartans...their imaginary friend's name will be Discipline
<p>Real Life</p>
Halloween: I love Halloween. The picture of Mrs. Sarin below tells the story:

Back to Iraq: I will be heading back to Iraq for my second tour prior to the end of this year. The unit that I belong to has just left and I will be linking up with them as soon as I finish my career course. Right now it looks like I will be leaving between late November and early December. So what does this mean for the me as Grand Master?
The plan as of now is for me to continue as Grand Master while I am in Iraq. I will be staying at a major operating base and it just so happens that this base has wireless internet. I have purchased a laptop and everything should work out well. I have crafted a letter that will be left with the Star Chamber and the JST in the event that I cannot communicate from Iraq (no internet or whatever). So, if I vanish we should still have some form of normalcy in the process of electing a new Grand Master.
Because of my upcoming deployment, I will be going on a vacation with my wife and daughter at the end of this month. I will be at Disney World (I am such a kid) from 31 Oct to 6 December. During this time, Muz will be running the show. Play nice.
If you have any questions about all of this, feel free to grab me on mIRC.
<p>Final Thoughts</p>
I hate firing people: This week had an unfortunate event occur that led to the removal of a person from their position. This is easily the worst part of being a Grand Master, especially one who hates drama.
What happened: Two members decided it would be funny to submit an ACC battle that included highly offensive material. I am not a prude and I probably swear more in my professional life than most of you combined, but the DB is not a place for our leaders to purposely attack another leader with offensive material. Of the two people involved, one of them held a leadership position and was about to be appointed to another position. Because of their involvement in the submission of this ACC battle and because of their past history, I decided to remove them from their current position and stop them from receiving another position.
Can I do that: Yes I can. Removing a person from their position is an executive decision that the Grand Master has full authority to make. A trial is no more needed for me to fire a leader than it is for a Consul to fire a QUA. If you have questions about this, I can point you to the Covenant Amendments and 11 years of precedence that grant a GM this power.
Now What happens to this leader: Not a whole lot. I have fired my share of people in the Dark Brotherhood and most of those people have returned to leadership positions. I do not hold grudges against people for past actions. That is one of the key differences between me and that "other guy". This person that was removed will have the opportunity to come back to a leadership position in the future, but they just won't be doing it this month.
If you have questions about this little incident, feel free to contact me. I heard there was a bit of misinformation out there about why a person was removed.
The Lesson: Leaders get held to a higher standard than other members of this club. If you are going to be a silly ass, expect to pay for it. :p <p> </p> -> <p>Done!</p> <-
Have a good week everyone! If you have an issue or concern, my office is open. <embed src="http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/Sarin/last.mp3" autostart="true" hidden="true" /></li></li></p></p>

Argh... lil black 'n white images hurt my eyes! Did Muz create all the images or did we borrow inspiration from someone else? All in all... looks sharp, looking forward to seeing where it goes.
Need details! Deeeeeetaaaaaaails!
The images are off of my desk, yes. And no, they won't be that small or black and white when all is said and done. And that's all the details you get for now. ;)
lol...

Yay!!! I'm in the DJB Plot Line thingy!!! lol
Dances in joy
(THis isnt one of your evil assassination plans again, is it Sarin? O.o
Why do you need details? It's pretty easy to see what the image insinuates as far as the project. Am I going to spoil it? Absolutely not. But seriously, think real hard, and you'll get it.
Thanks tips... I was actually wanting details about the Force powers themselves... which is somewhat hard to infer from small black and white images. And I was also only joking because I know they don't want to release actual details until it's complete. Sometimes you gotta think before being sarcastic.
Pfffbbbbbt. It's not THAT hard to figure out some of them by their image. You're not all wang, hooker. I know you have at least half a brain. :P
