#darkvoice - Dark Voice on IRC

**Introduction*

It's been a long issue-in-the-making for myself in particular. I started a new job shortly after we published the last issue, and the "boot camp" like training I had to go through was pretty damn intense. However, now that we have that behind us, I'm back on a schedule resembling normalcy. To make matters worse, my laptop decided to blow up (quite literally) last week.

Thankfully, I had enough components laying around to compile a working desktop. I'm building a new computer in December (it's gonna be a beast..more on that another time), but for now, I'm stuck on a somewhat slow desktop.

Stepping outside from myself, we've had a few other issues with the DV Staff. Two resignations hit us a bit hard the past two weeks, but I'm glad to report that we've been making good strides with our staff. For the first time, we've got a functional editing staff. Overall, I think we finally have a stable staff, which will be a very good thing.

**Dark Voice Senior Correspondent*

With Dismal's resignation, applications are now being taken for the position. The requirements are posted on the news page, so if you think you've got what it takes, hurry up and apply! I do want to take a moment to thank Dismal for his service. He was my right hand man since the day I hired him, and I'm disappointed to see him leaving us.

**Issue 2, Volume 5*

And of course, if you couldn't tell already, the issue is just about done. We're aiming to publish this weekend, by Sunday at the latest. One more week. In this issue, we're looking at about 25 articles, as well as some images, and perhaps even a comic! We'll have the results of the DV Crescent Blowout as well, and a ton of shinies to boot.

This issue is also going to feature a somewhat controversial editorial, and it's reception will determine if the DV offers the option of editorials in the future.

Overall, it should be a very good issue, and I'm looking forward to it!

**Closing Comments*

It's been a long two months, as I've said, and I'm glad this issue is almost done. This'll be the first time a Dark Voice won't be coming out to commemorate the Day of the Fox, however, do look for a special Dark Voice Exclusive to be released outside of the issue when the time comes. As always, if you have any DV related questions or comments, my inbox is always open!
