Greetings all,

Whoa...what is this?

1) New Year, New Chances to Shine

Hey all...a report from me? Yes, I know, something strange is happening. I'm going to get back on the ball with these things so look out for more from myself and our lovely Proconsul going forward. I've been trying to catch up on things this week, at work and on Clan business. We had the last Tal Times issue of 2007 come out on the 31st so if for some reasons you haven't seen that check it out. If you need a link to something like that, our Clan Prospectus, competitions open to the Clan, you can always look on the Taldryan website and usually find it on the menu to the left of the page.

2) Clan Projects

The Sentire Taldryae unit that was announced in the State of the Clan Address before was obviously on hold through the holidays. Look for that to be updated on the Clan website Thursday and the first two members inducted. Proconsul Chaosrain Taldrya brought up the idea of bringing back the old Promotion Ritual fictions that our former Consul did for a time this past week. We are updating them now and adding a new one for our new unit to come; these should be done by this coming Monday at the latest. They'll add another nice fictional attribute to the process.

Late this month we are aiming to get some of few remaining areas of our Kr'Tal System manual fixed up. Going ahead we'll be finally fixing up our other system won last year, the Rybanloth System, updating our Clan History, completing a Clan Course for the Shadow Academy, and much more. If you are up for helping out with any projects you can always shoot me an email and we can see where you can possibly join in. We are also constantly on the lookout for contributors to the Tal Times which we'll see the first issue of Volume IV come out at the beginning of March. Another area we really are in need would be graphic makers, if you can do that and have some free time, let us know!

3) Get into the ACC

The Antei Combat Centre is a great place to jump into the Brotherhood and take on your fellow Clan mates and opposing Clan members in one-on-one combat. If you are into writing and up for more interaction make sure to check this out. Dark Side Adept Sharad Taldrya Hett and Templar Hel-Pa Sklib are our Clan ACC Trainers and are more than willing to help any new comers learn the ropes and go on to be an active part in the ACC. If you are interested you can email either of them and they'll help you out.

4) Competitions Now, Events to Come

Chaos and myself just put in several competitions this evening, hitting about everything you might want to jump in to I hope. We have a series of Quick and Easy Comps started by Chaos that'll run the rest of the month starting with short and funny stories. For the more serious writing you can get into "Taldryan Topic: Lanchi Unrests" where you jump into combat in our home system to settle some small acts of rebellion. We also have a new Tal Trivia line that'll start showing up a lot more than it did last year, I assure you of that. There is a TT Article Competition for the upcoming issue, that's a fun one.

Looking for something bigger to come? Well, you might like what's planned for February. We have some plans for a large Clan competition to come that'll have all the Houses moving so get ready for that, it'll be good. Until then we'll still have some open events for everyone.

1) Gaming and Fiction Tribune Offerings

Our Gaming Tribune is running a January Gaming Competition that's pushing team activity with our many gaming platforms. This takes place over top our normal Gaming Days as well, so you report matches normally by logging in to the Brotherhood website and submit under your Administration page. After that you need to report directly to Shadow if you played a team match with your partner. There hasn't been a great deal of activity here yet so grab a partner and register with him then go play, have some fun, team matches are the best matches!

Our Fiction Tribune has two fiction events and one graphic event going, one called "What Dreams May Come" is pretty interested and can be taken a lot of ways so check that one out if you are up for developing your character more.

Both these events are listed on our Clan website and the Brotherhood website.

2) Chamber of Justice Opening

Justicar Kir Taldrya Katarn has posted about the Right Hand of Justice position being open for applications. Archpriest Daniel Goad served for the past six months and oversaw many cases getting high praise for his efforts, awesome job to our fellow Clan member. If you are interested in possibly applying for this position you should check the news page linked below for Kir's posts. Good luck to those that apply!

3) Reports, Reports, Reports

Reports can tell you a lot, two that came up lately are the Grand Master Report and the Gaming Tribune Report. Keep an eye on the news page for all the news updates and reports from time to time, it can only help. Click on "Leader Reports" under the Communication section on the Brotherhood website and you can check any of the latest reports from the Dark Council.

Props to Daniel Goad again for his work that earned him a Grand Cross, Sklib on placing in SA Trivia, and nicely due to Halc, Tirano, Vodo, DarkAmiz, Jac, Rigar, Lokasena, and Sidarace on all those Crescents! Gob grabbed some Clusters of Fire, plus Vlad and Werdna took home some Crescents too, can't forget you guys. Too many emails, but that doesn't mean stop!

1) Empty Space

Not much here for this report, taking an old reporting format and really don't have anything at the moment. I'll have something obscure and meaningful (or not) next time.

Ouch, that was a bit tough actually. I'll get back into it, I promise. I've had a busy day so sorry if this was rushed but a report was needed. I hope everyone had a great New Years, make many resolutions? The main one I committed to this year was to finish what I start and keep a positive attitude as much as possible. This can apply to everything I do so this should help around here too right? Maybe, just maybe. =P
