Dawn.

The sun rose from behind the horizon upon Ragnos Cathedral, again like last time, the Battlemaster had summoned his members to his chambers. He was still alone, awaiting their arrival when he looked at the report he made. He smiled slightly as he was proud of what his team had accomplished in a short amount of time and although it was a good thing he decided not to show it, he decided to harden them into the fighting force that would be feared. He would make them proud warriors, each and every one of them, molding them into the very thing they needed to be if they were to ever counter the Vong from the Star Chamber and reclaim Antei. But in his mind and heart he knew that they were in fact far greater than he could ever imagine them to be in this amount of time.

The door opened and his team walked into his chambers, the newer member, Arfalax, who was also Ylith’s apprentice looked around the chamber, torn warbanners covered in blood hang from the walls, from the time as Guardian until the day he was Battlemaster, they all decorated the walls of his chambers and within them memories of battle and the sacrifices he had made to ensure that the Journeymen behind him could still be alive. When Arfalax returned his gaze to the Battlemaster he saw him turn around and looked at the group before him.

‘Again I summon you to my chambers, once more do you stand before me and once more shall I bring forth what you have accomplished thus far. But first…’ he said and he moved from behind his desk to face them directly, standing a bit too close for some of the younger members. ‘Congratulations Jade and Keia, you two have shown courage and most off all, strength within the Battleteam. For this I shall bestow you the rank of Hawk within the Night Hawk Elite.’ The two bowed before him and Keia suddenly spoke. “Sir, we are ready to fight the Vong! We are far stronger now! We can beat them!”

When he heard her words Ylith smiled and closed his eyes, and it was not him but Jade who answered. “You have courage and I admire that, but as we are now we cannot stand against the Vong.” Then Jade’s eyes turned back to Ylith. “Even Ylith was beaten down by the Vong!”

At this the Sith laughed. “The Vong were indeed the first race to match my strength and my fighting capabilities, but I became stronger because of it. I have met the Vong head on and am still alive, well enough to teach you, my team, the way to defeat them, and in the progress destroy all the other clans and gain domination within the Brotherhood. I can show you the path, however my Night Hawks, you need to walk it.”

They all nodded and Ylith sat down behind his desk and took a datapad. “Now, let me tell you of our tidings within the clan.”

Again a great number of submissions! I am really proud to see the Night Hawks coming along so great. Keep it up guys and gals and we will become the most powerful Battleteam within the Clan, and after that, the Brotherhood!

** Final Word **

Glory. What is this word? What does it mean? To fight for those you love and care for? Is it to show courage when all opposes you? Does it mean to be great and famed through the Brotherhood?

No.

Glory is to be a leader, a leader who stands high and mighty above all else and sees as he knows is just and right. Glory is the members standing behind the leader, the extensions of his own will, raw power used to do what is just within this galaxy.

I have thought long about the meaning of glory and what it stands for within the Night Hawks, and not just the Night Hawks, but in Naga Sadow as a whole. I see glory in each and everyone of you, my members. You have made it possible for this Battleteam to rise from the ashes and be reborn into something it was when it was first created. By our own Consul himself do we stand here today, Night Hawks, in all our Glory. We stand tall and vigilant, we stand with strength and courage.

And it is not I, but you, my children, who made this happen. So I bow to each and every one of you, and with it you know, Glory is not mine alone, it is OUR glory, Night Hawk Glory! And all will know that we are the strongest Battleteam because of it!

Now once more go forth and show the rest of the Galaxy what glory truly means!
