Members of Clan Plagueis,

Seven days have passed. One hundred and sixty eight hours. Ten thousand and eighty minutes. Why the breakdown? To express that every minute presents us a unique opportunity to improve not only ourselves, but the Clan we have all come to love. It takes only one minute to decide if you should participate in a Gaming Night. One breath to debate issuing an Antei Combat Center challenge. A moment's thought to consider beginning a competition entry. Meaning we are presented with thousand of chances in a week to improve the Clan we love. The time for hesitation and inactivity has passed. We are an active, participating Clan from this moment forward.

Clan News

Today is the final day for Aedile applications. I believe that we have a couple candidates whom are atop the list, but I will save any announcements for our beloved Quaestors. Should you be interested in applying for the position of Aedile, please send your applications to Ky ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]), Cipher ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]), Kal ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and myself ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]). You should include your past leadership experience, future plans and some references. We hope to have our candidates chosen and vetted by the end of the weekend (at the latest).

Envoy Process. Our Knight Class Envoy, Templar Callus, is hard at work right now. He is breaking up and reassigning the Envoy duties to fit my leadership model. It is a daunting task and takes some time to make sure everything lines up. Until then, be sure to offer your praise and thanks to our Templar for his hard work. The office of the Envoy is a thankless position and is integral to our future success as he will come directly in contact with our young, upcoming members and be their gateway to Dark Jedi Knight.

Clan Identity. I posed a challenge last week. Unfortunately, there was not a resounding response. My challenge was, if you read, about the identity of the Clan. Tarentum is the Defenders of the Shroud. Scholae Palatinae is the Royal Clan. Taldryan is a Brotherhood within a Brotherhood. What will we be? I have several ideas, but I am hoping to hear more from the membership before I proceed forward; however, if no one steps forward to give us a firmer idea, the leadership team will progress forward with the initial responses we were given. If you would like your character to be used in Clan canon (fiction that becomes real, hard history) please get with me and let me know it is okay to use your character.

Grand Master Report: The Big Kahuna (oh, I like that nickname) has released a report that announces the return of a former Grand Master, shows some flashy images concerning our club's future and discusses what your Consul - that is me - has been working on the past week. As always, you should read this report to ensure you are familiar with the direction our club is progressing.

Tribune:Gaming Report: The Shadow (because there is only one) has recently released a report that touches on match reporting errors - make sure you are recording your activity correctly folks; otherwise we cannot get you awarded. He also breaches the topic of Inter-Club Training Event (ICTE) and discusses the newest opportunity (competition) for gamers in February. Check it out!

But, more importantly, he does some basic Q&A on the process of the Master At Arm's Office. It is valuable information you should all do your best to soak in.

The Message

The infinite potential of a moment. Building upon how I started my report, I want to discuss the unlimited potential - capable of being or becoming - of each individual in our Clan. You all have the value and worth to attain the rank of Dark Adept. And believe me, I would love nothing more than to have a flock of Dark Adepts to set on Taldryan come Great Jedi War time. However, we do not get to the Elder class overnight. It is a grueling, self-sacrificing process where you placed your House, Clan and Brotherhood before your personal goals.

But I thought I needed to be super active to get awards and, thus, promotions, Braecen? Well, you do. Some times you will find that - especially if you are not in a leadership position - what your Clan needs the most is for you to be an active, engaged member of the Clan. Your accomplishments at a personal level will reflect well on the Clan as a whole and others will take your lead... becoming more active themselves. And being an active, participating Clan can carry us into a strong placing in future Vendettas... such as the next Great Jedi War. If we develop twenty active members whom can compete across the board in the next Great Jedi War, we can easily attain a ranking of Third Clan and conquer Arcona, Tarentum and Naga Sadow.

But it will require a great deal of effort and concentration... are you prepared?

THE FIN

Clan AWOL is in-progress right now. I delegated this task to Proconsul Ky Terrak and he responded to the challenge extremely well. Grand Master Emeritus Jac Cotelin has provided me Manager status on our googlegroups and Moderator status on our message forum - this means I will be auditing everything this weekend. Our new Aediles will be chosen and assigned this week. Which means we will have finished our first phase of restructuring... and will begin an intensive campaign to begin expounding on the fictional and functional base provided by our predecessors.

As always, if you wish to serve your Clan, but cannot maintain the rigorous schedule set forth by our Clan Leadership to hold a position such as Quaestor or Aedile... get in contact with me. I can always use willing individuals to accomplish single segments of larger, massive projects.
