Headmaster Report #4

News

--A new degree was released this past week, the first Dark Savant. Dark Savant - Leadership and Communication is now available, the requirements can be found here. If you scroll down a little you will also see which courses are available to use as electives, which is something new being introduced. Remember to email both myself and my Praetor Bubba (Dacien) when requesting any degree.

--Due to having little to no relevance to the Dark Brotherhood, the three IM courses (AIM, ICQ, and MSN) have been removed from the courses available to take in the Shadow Academy.

--Due to not being heard from, the EP of Obelisk CORE has been removed, and the position is now open to applications. In order to apply, you must be at least the rank of Protector, have already passed the course, and have an email turnaround of at least 72 hours.

If you are interested, email Bubba and myself with a short application, an answer key to the exam, and ideas for updates (the course will need to be updated, so don't say it is perfect as is). Applications are due by February 24th.

--I now present to you all a brand new "competition" that the Shadow Academy will run every six months or so, called Blast from the Past Week. During these weeks, one course that has been closed will be reopened. If you have not passed that course, you have one week to do so. You get to pass it once, no matter the score, and if you fail the course you get only one more chance to pass it.

This week, ''Marksmanship'' has been reopened. You can find the course either on the SA website or by clicking the link in the Important Links section below. Again, you have until today (2/17) to next Sunday (2/24) to take this course, after which time it will be removed again.

Projects

--Daniel Stephens recently sent Bubba and I some updates for the Astronomy course notes, and once pictures and a few more exam questions are added to that we'll see those updates implemented. Welshmen is also working on an update for the Capital Starship Studies course, so expect those soon as well.

--Anshar and Muz both recently sent us their notes for the courses they are working on, and those are being edited as we speak, so hopefully we'll get to see those two courses released within the next few months (by few I mean five).
