_Cipher stood before the house, addressing them formally.

"I come before you today to announce that the changes are in place. What once was, is no longer. The past is what we leave behind. We move forward, anew and reborn!

Your Aedile and I have come to an agreement on the way this House is to go. We have brought several things to light and will be making this House back into the glory that it once had. Yes, the past is behind us, but it has shaped what we are to become.

I ask you now... Are you with me? Do you dare to step up to the challenges before us? _

Opening

Welcome to the new report format. No batch of crazy images anymore. Just the one; simple and sweet.

I've seen an awesome week of activity, especially in the Shadow Academy.

Twenty-three (23) courses this past while. 23! That's amazing! Six people were promoted, notably of course, our AED, Syphoc. Atta boy! :D There were four transfers in. Welcome (or welcome back if applies) to all of you! Five medal were awarded. Good work! One ACC battle with a win for my apprentice, Kor VanTil. And last but certainly not least, we have two new members to the Brotherhood and the House! WELCOME!!! We're glad to have you!

New Beginnings

With the new direction I spoke of in the IC section, I've designed a new logo for the House, and reveal it here for you to gaze upon. This one took me the better part of a morning in class to doodle up in my vectors program. Feel free to leave comments on this report and let me know what you think. If there's an overwhelming dislike for it (which I can't see) then I will create another one.

Hope you enjoy it. I think it's awesome, but of course, I'm baised. :P

Competitions

I'm running a fiction competition for the next two weeks. Below are the details:

Title: Wolves in Sheeps Clothing

Specifics:

Cipher stood in her office, her back to Syphoc. Her senses were acute, more so than they had been in a long time. For a being that supressed her emotions, there was no mistaking the aura of rage and contempt radiating from her. Syphoc knew it well, and shared in it, though perhaps not to the same extent. He was new to the House still, and his loyalty toward it was still forming. Cipher's only consolation was that she now had someone at her side. Perhaps the tasks of running the House herself had allowed this to happen... NO! She shook this thought from her head. What was done is done and now they had only to move forward. She turned to face her Aedile.

"More and more of our officials fall to the knife and trickery of an unknown foe. Some are dead, others, disappeared without a word." Her head fell for a moment, then she looked back at him. He stood so silent, waiting for her to continue. "And now, I've reports that the security codes of the dead are being used. Here! In this House without question!" Again she paused, her demeanor changing, "What have you found?"

He met her steely gaze. "We've not been able to catch any of them as of yet. I assure you, my lady, we are doing what we can. I sense that these events are linked, and eventually, someone will leave a piece of the chain exposed. I will gather some trusted members of the House. Those who think to spy among the best are sure to slip and when they do, we will seize them. They WILL be found!" and as his words came to a climax, his hand formed a fist beneath his robes.

Cipher reached out and put a hand to his shoulder. "Oh I know they will..."

The House Summit has tasked you with discovering information on the perpetrators.

Write a fiction detailing your quest to discover information, what it reveals, and your recommendations to the Summit.

Platforms: Entries must be a minimum of 3 pages in length Size 12, Times New Roman or Arial, and submitted as .doc or .rtf.

Awards: Fourth Level Crescents.

Comments: Entries should be of a serious nature. Submit all entries to Cipher (cipher[underscore]iamtheshadow[at]yahoo[dot]ca) and Rilkel (syphoc[dot]rilkel[at]gmail[dot]com).

AED Syphoc will be releasing one soon if he hasn't done so already so watch for that. Of course there are other comps out there. Refer to the competitions page of the main DB site as I horrible for remembering who's running what. :P
