# House Caliburnus

Aedile Report

_Yzarc sat in the cantina informally known as Thran’s Place. He didn’t know why, he didn’t drink. Maybe the Aedile wanted to get to know members who he had never met. Maybe he was tired of being in the training rooms and his office all day, every day. He snorted as he took another sip of the water sitting on the table in front of him.

He looked around the cantina. It was comfy, with a live band playing in the corner. The band was too soft, the Templar reflected. He noticed House members getting drinks and going off to their spots. Satisfied with himself, the Aedile got up to leave. He tossed a coin at the bartender and walked out of the cantina.

He walked towards the Obsidian Palace, the focal point of the Caliburnus compound. He entered the building and got in the private lift up to his quarters. It ascended to the top floor and opened, letting the Obelisk out with a sigh. He proceeded to get in the refresher and get ready for sleep. He had forgone sleep for too long, and his body was shutting itself down. He mused to himself as he was falling asleep, “That’s what a war and training will do to you,” as he passed out.

Woohoo! A report!

War! House Caliburnus is currently at war with House Dorimad Sol, although it is ending later today! Check your e-mails for the “bounty lists” and go out and bring glory to Caliburnus! (If you’re unsure of what I mean by bounty lists, or need help with this, e-mail me or find me on IRC).

Next, the Tribune: Gaming’s (T:G) February competition. This one is for the people who participate, but don’t do so great. Check out his news post for more information. As it is the last day of February, I’d like to urge you all to look for a T:G report or news post next week for information on the March competition.

We have a new Combat Master (CM)! Sharad Taldrya Hett has been chosen as the new CM. Look for changes in the ACC shortly.

Sadly, I’d like to announce the parting of two of Caliburnus’ most active members. Thank you, Xathia and Nokkon Wud, for the good times. This means that all of you should step up and become more active, to fill in the hole that has been created.

Also, every time the Deputy Grandmaster (DGM) or Grandmaster (GM) report, they leak out another bit of information about upcoming changes to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood as a whole. I highly suggest you take the time to read these, and all other reports.

_Getting Awards does many things for you. They show that you participate. They also show that you excel. Put these two together means that you are an excellent addition to the House, Clan and Brotherhood as a whole. You can get awards for gaming, participating in competitions, or helping out your House and Clan summit. Just for your information, I put the awards for each person in order of importance (in my mind).

Internet Relay Chat, or IRC is one of the Brotherhood’s main forms of communication. It is not hard to set up, and you can follow the easy guide to do so ( http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/irc_guide.asp)

Members of House Caliburnus, like you all are, reside in the channels of:

• #scholae This is the channel of Clan Scholae Palatinae.

• #caliburnus This is the channel of our House, House Caliburnus.

IRC is extremely important because it exists in real-time, or something you say is read the second you hit enter.

Other channels you should know about are:

• #db This is the channel of the Dark Brotherhood as a whole.

• #dbgaming This is the channel you must be in to game on a normal gaming day.

• #outerrim This is the channel you must be in to game during the Inter-Club Training Event (ICTE)

Go and participate in competitions, they’re good fun, and can net you a shiney.

As I’ve said above, we’ve lost a lot of members recently who were helping to hold this House up. What I’m asking you all to do is to become more active. Participation is a good thing, both for yourself and for the House and Clan. People who sit around and do nothing end up staying in the same rank until they can pick up their participation. I’m asking everyone in the House, myself included, to pick up and do as much as we can (If something gets in the way, that’s ok, and why there’s more than one week in a year :P).
