Report #30 - March 1st, 2008

The blustering wind pressed against the window of the Consuls Office as he read through the weekly reports, a cool day on Karufr. Business was good, minor disturbances across KrTal, and initial settlements in the new sector seemed to be going well. The Fleet Modernization Act was finally complete with the Clans Naval Forces fully stocked and tested, the losses of the Vong Incursion fading away slowly. Expansion and growth were the agenda for the Clan Summit. While things seemed to be content, turbulence lurks around every turn.

Not a lot of news this week in Clan, good activity all around though. We have seen several promotions lately, had trivia submissions, competition participation, and gaming in both Houses. As Proconsul Chaosrain mentioned in his report early this week, we just changed our Clan JO Server IP Address and you can get that at the end of any report of mine or linked from our website to the DJB Wikipedia.
Im going to be working on several projects this coming week that youll be seeing come out soon. The first issue of the Taldryan Times for the year will come out early in the week; any submissions still out there in the works should come in by Monday at the latest. Large number of articles this time and should turn out well. Well be aiming to run a large Clan event in the coming weeks, its been delayed for awhile now and I take the blame for that. The goal is to have a good, fun, and simple to jump into competition to get folks ready for a possible return of the Independence Games DB-wide event next month and future Vendetta events to follow. Hoping for a few other surprises to come out as well, cant say anything more for those yet. =P
Jac has a birthday, happy times for all! Without him we wouldnt have the Brotherhood we see before us.

Our own Dark Side Adept Sharad Taldrya Hett was appointed to the position of Combat Master this week, huge congrats go out to him. Hell be continuing on with projects Halc had going and introducing his own things so those interested in the ACC keep a look out for his reports.
Keep an eye out for a Grand Master Report in the next few days for some major updates to the Brotherhood, expanded character sheets, dark jedi orders, and most likely a couple other things. Hitting a lot of exciting additions this year and we are only entering March, awesome work from the Dark Council.

Congrats to Jac, Jerse, and Tarax on their placement in the EPIC Banner event this week. Baron, Jerse, and Sidarace were awarded Crescents for placement in the Resurrection of Dominus Sicarius event this month, great activity this month. A couple past awards went out for the last Archanis Run-on as well. Keep up the competition participation when you can!

In Clan, make sure you check out the Creative Expansion event before it ends Sunday night. Thats a simple competition that will help us develop our newer star system and the businesses we setup. Tal Trivia this year has been steady so when you see that and have some time, try your hand for some awards. Again, more on a larger Clan event to come in the next week or so.

Dinaari has opened a few new events that cover graphic making, fiction, and a motto competition. Ektrosis still has a Run-on going, a graphic event, and the AED Challenges going. Well rounded group of activities. If you are looking for gaming make sure to check the March Gaming Competition hosted by our Gaming Tribune. Well have some fiction events coming from our Fiction Tribune most likely as well.

Its awesome to see steady promotions like weve had the past two weeks, congrats to our latest Jedi Hunters. So far weve hit 22 promotions in Taldryan this year, an outstanding list if I do say so myself. Keep up the awesome work!

Thought Id point out the membership honors that some might want to check into if they havent lately. Warbanners on your dossiers are a nice way to be unique and show what you like, so if you dont have one look into those here. Nice work from the Herald Office on a new banner Vodo Biask had put up this week.

Lightersabers selection opens up on the administration page for those hitting Dark Jedi Knight in rank. For those hitting the second level of Equite ranks and beyond you should look into getting a <a href = http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/wiki/index.php?title=Custom_Lightsaber>custom lightsaber. These can be awesome, another great contribution from our Herald Office. Hel-Pa Sklib and Tarax had new custom sabers added to their dossiers this week.

Not a huge report, but one that I wanted to get out. Im really happy with the activity of many of our members in February. The farther we go the more activities open will come so get into what you can and always have fun, thats why we are here. If you have any ideas for events you want to see, feel free to let your leaders know at any time. We are here to serve and are glad to help in whatever we can.
