House Dinaari Quaestor Report #12 - March 8, 2008

Greetings all,

<p>March is off to a great start as activity already is pretty good among our Journeymen. I am pleased to report a lot of promotions and awards in the past two weeks (see last week's report by Tarax for specifics) and hopefully we have many more in the coming weeks. There are many competitions being offered on all levels for members of all ranks to partake in on a variety of different subjects (i.e. graphics, fiction, Shadow Academy, etc). If there's a certain kind of activity that you'd like to see just let me know and I'll run it if it appears there would be decent activity. I'm open to all suggestions so don't hesitate to speak up - my door is always open.

<p>The first 2008 issue of the Taldryan Times has been released! Already our (in)famous newsletter is stirring up a storm throughout the Brotherhood. If you haven't already I highly suggest you check it out by clicking on this link. If you want to see your work featured in our next issue be sure to get your article to Duga and Chaos right away!

<p>I don't remember if this happened before Tarax's report but even so I'll repeat it - congratulations to our very own Sharad for becoming the latest Combat Master of the Brotherhood. As a long time ACC veteran we're sure he'll continue the Taldryan excellence of running things in this organization. While I'm bringing it up I suppose I can plug the "ACC Initiates" exam over at the Shadow Academy. Taking this course allows you to fill out your Character Sheet which in turn lets you qualify for the Antei Combat Chamber (ACC). New character sheets will be going live in the near future so it'd be a good idea to get a head start. Also, Sharad released a poll regarding ACCLive! - login to Administration and place your vote!

<p>The Fiction Tribune (Raken) has a few major competitions running out of his office during this month. For those of you who like writing (or can't game) these are excellent opportunities for advancement. Questions can no doubt be directed to him if you have them.

<p>Kraval, that oddball Master-At-Arms has changed the requirements for "families" in the Brotherhood. Basically you need an Elder to start a family up instead of the old rank (Equite3). He also released a "One Year MAA Anniversary" report detailing his job - it's quite the read. Speaking of reports, the Gaming Tribune (Shadow) released a lengthy and detailed gaming report - check it out.

<p>Again, there's tons of competitions running on all levels this month so there's something for everyone. Be sure to spend five minutes in MS paint to get credit for my "EPIC Banner II" comp, or write a quick and easy 1-2 page fiction for my "Vong Showdown" topic. Check out the competition listing at the end of this report for a more detailed look at our offerings.

<p>House Dinaari and Clan Taldryan proudly recognize the following individuals on their recent honors ...

<p>Halcyon Rokir earned himself a Legion of the Scholar for placing in Tal Trivia. He also earned a Crescent w/ Amethyst Star for a Tal Times submission. Also earning a Legion of the Scholar was me (Vlad) for also placing in Tal Trivia. I also earned a Crescent w/ Emerald Star for my own Tal Times submission.

<p>One of our latest Jedi Hunters, Corax "Baron" Zarjin has been busy - he racked up an impressive 73 Clusters of Fire for participating in a lot of multi-player gaming. Very impressive!

<p>Other awards this week include a Crescent w/ Topaz Star for Tarax Kor, and two Dark Side Scrolls for Shadow Taldrya for having two of his fiction submissions becoming DJB canon. Well done to everyone!

<p>Finally, everyone please welcome two new members to House Dinaari - both are transfers from the Rogues. Please welcome DJK Alex Draconis and GRD Taigkori Aybara to our Clan! I'm sure they'll make fine additions to our elite roster.

<p>My thanks to Vodo (the Aedile of House Ektrosis) for creating new report section headers for my report! The only thing left to replace is that Taldryan banner at the top and hopefully we'll have one at the end of the month. Otherwise it was a pretty slow week but productive at the same time. Keep up the great work - our excellence makes tears flow from the other Clans.

<p>As always I recommend getting on Internet Relay Chat (IRC) to talk with your fellow Taldryan members (and the rest of the DJB if you so choose).
