Report #31 - March 16th, 2008

• Before going on, I wanted to let you guys know before it gets around, I’m planning to step down from the position of Consul by the end of the month. I won’t go into a big speech here, I’ll save that for the time I actually step down, but I wanted to let you guys know it’s be an amazing experience. The last two years and two months leading this Clan has be outstanding and I’ve had gifted members to work with and I’m happy we have kept our high record in combat. Life just continues to get the better of me and going forward I don’t want to drag down the Clan. You’ll here more on this soon, don’t have things ironed out yet.

• Activity in the Clan is good, very good in many ways I would say. Props go to our House leaders for keeping on top of reports and providing competitions, and thank you guys for being active and taking part in what interests you. I know a couple have submitted to the Master-at-Arms competition running and I hope a few are going for those Fiction Tribune events. It’s awesome to see us participating well in those DB-wide competitions.

• For projects, we have work being done on the DB Codex Overhaul and a Clan related Shadow Academy course in the works. The Codex has been a long-term project of ours, but one I plan to have done soon. The course was being headed by Daar, but due to real life pulling him away for awhile Ace has taken up the spot. I know he’ll work out something great. Planning to have a couple surprises come out here before long too, so keep an eye out!

• Next month we will be hitting Exodus day, and that will mark five years since the Brotherhood left the Emperor’s Hammer. We’ll see a large Brotherhood event called the “Independence Games” return for the third time and from what I’ve seen it looks to be better than any past efforts. I hope many will get involved in that when it comes up and use that as a warm-up for future Vendettas to come. Related to the five year anniversary, I have a competition running that involves that so please read more about that farther down in the report.

• DGM Muz announced the newest lightsabers added to the Brotherhood website last week, and they are open for Protectors and above to select under their Administration page. They look pretty nice so if you are a low ranked member and need a saber, go login and select one.

• The Combat Master and Headmaster have released reports, good information for you to check out there on the Brotherhood news page.

• Congrats to the newest ACC Champion, our very own Hel-Pa Sklib!

Congrats to Daar on his placement in the Wacky Uniform Competition hosted by House Ektrosis, to Vlad, Halc, Sklib, Ace, and Dark Sabre on their Scrolls of Foundation, to Jerse on his Scroll of Indoctrination, and Tirano and Ace for the Clusters. All awesome happenings.

For older members and younger members, please check out the “Reflections of the Past” event. It’s open to you to submit your thoughts on how far we have come as a Clan and/or a Brotherhood since the Exodus, looking back to what you where doing at that time, or just anything related to looking back really. For those that haven’t been here that long, highlight the good things you’ve seen during your time. These can be in character or just a serious look at the subject, and will be featured in a special Tal Times release at the beginning of April. Doesn’t take much, just a couple well-done paragraphs could work perfectly.

House Dinaari and Ektrosis continue to have many competitions open, make sure you check them out. We have a bunch of Brotherhood-wide events open and I encourage those looking for something to do to get into those, great way to step up and have some fun as all of them look pretty good. GameTrailers.com has a series going called “<a href=” http://www.gametrailers.com/game/6389.html”>Star Wars Retrospective” which has started out with a look at some very old games, the first Star Wars games to make it out. Interesting stuff, I’ll keep watching for updates.
