Report #2 – April 6th, 2008

• One of the big pieces of news this week was seeing long-time veteran, Shadow, become the newest Dark Jedi Masters! It was a great week in general, with a number of promotions and medals being handed out to everyone. I am very happy to see people participating in competitions. We had lots of crescents being given out for those

• As already mentioned, Chaos is on a semi-LoA due to exams this week. Ektrosis is back at full-strength in terms of leadership, although Dinaari will be a lower strength over the course of the month due to exams as well. You can always contact me directly if you need anything, and especially when the House leaders are handling some RL business

• I’d like to welcome a few new members to the Clan. Everyone, please say hello to Mrakainus and Adrian Farenheight and make them feel at home

• Congratulations go out to Jerse for being named the Rollmaster in Dinaari for the month

• I am looking to choose new Sentire Taldryae, so be on the lookout for an announcement this week

• The next issue of the Tal Times will be released in the next week. Get your submissions in as soon as possible, so that they can be included. We are especially looking for people’s thoughts and views on the Exodus and how the DB is now from what it was 5 years ago. It doesn’t have to be big, but it would be great to get a little something from everyone

• Lots of new competitions are out for everyone to participate in, so check out the competitions section for more details. Also remember that the Independence Games should be out in a week (if released on time), so be on the look out for more information

• Jac’s back! (sorta). Jac has a new job and all that fun stuff in RL so he’s busy dealing with that. However he’s fixed up some things on the DB site, as well as yelled at people to get it working quicker (yay Jac). Please be patient with him if you need anything, since he too deserves to have a life :P

• A GM report was released, which is always good to see what’s coming up. There have been a few delays with people having to deal with RL and/or dodging bombs in Baghdad (I think that’s a song too? :P), but they will be released soon. And lots of shiny things to be given out come Exodus Day

• The Histories are being approved once more by the HM, but make sure you fill out your character histories in details, or they will be denied

• There’s a new Appeals Panel for the CoJ…no one from Tal is on it. I call bias! :P Oh, there’s also no more CoJ site, so all your Justicy needs can be found on the DB wiki

• Shad CRAPed himself…or something. If you like Shadow’s CRAP, then you can get your fill on the DB site!

Lots of new competitions for everyone to participate, and I enjoyed the deluge of crescents that came in my mail this week. Glad to see lots of people getting involved. Congrats go out to Taig for placing in the March gaming competition

As I’ve already mentioned the new Independence Games will be released in April. This will be a DB-wide competition, with a number of varying events. There should be something for everyone, so I hope to see everyone jump in and do what they can for Taldryan. It will also be a great opportunity for many of you to earn medals and promotions!

Another week goes by, and we’re now into the full swing of April. This past week has been hell again at work, but this upcoming week seems to be a bit quieter. Have a couple of finals exams to get through, but in general I should have a bit more free time to be around.

Once the Tal Times is released, I will focus my writing energies on the various aspects of the Taldryan fictional world. There’s a lot there, but still a lot of nooks and crannies to flesh out. If anyone wishes to lend a helping hand, just shoot me a mail
