Beneath the surface of Ohmen, “Interrogation Chamber”

Lucien patiently waited for Phoenix to finish the aggressive negotiations with the de facto leader of the indigent rebellion. The sounds of fists pummeling flesh were music to the Grand Marshall’s ears. This peasant revolution had taken more of a toll on the military of Scholae than was previously projected, so Lucien had a keen interest in what this man had to say about the remaining forces lurking in caves and holes all over Ohmen.

”I swear, the rebellion has been squashed. There are no more bands of rebels anywhere on the planet. Emperor please!!..... “The man’s voice trailed off as Phoenix ’s rage was finally released in a furious manner. Seconds later, the human lay limp on the concrete floor of the Chamber, no longer breathing. Lucien let himself fall into a mini trance and from across the room could tell that the man was no longer alive. Phoenix had once again eliminated a major enemy that threatened his throne. The ProConsul wondered when his turn to face the Emperor’s wrath would come.

Soon enough, I suppose. All good things must come to an end. Though, I did escape Plagueis with little more than a slap on the wrist and a minor headache. Something tells me I must be prepared for the inevitable.

Greetings, and welcome to another fast paced, exciting report from your PCON! This report will cover a wide range of topics and will showcase a few things still in the works. As always, any comments, suggestions, critiques, etc. are welcome. Let’s get to it!

INDEPENDENCE GAMES!!!

So important, they warrant THREE exclamation points. That means that the IGs are three times more important than ANYTHING else going on. We have a legitimate shot at taking this competition and I will not allow failure. It has come time for Scholae to show it’s dominance in all arenas and take down the mighty Juggernaut of Taldryan.

There are 30+ events to participate in, so there should be no “There are no events that I like!!!” issues. The events range from the super easy caption contest type to the more intense Legendary Fiction events to the always popular gaming events.

In the only category that we can track right now, Angelo Dante is in first place in gaming! Congratulate him and tell him to keep up the work.

Speaking of gaming, Dante and RevengeX can’t do it all by their lonesome. We need YOU to help them out by either beating the snot out of an Arconan or losing valiantly to Vardar of Taldryan. Either way you go, you earn points for the Clan! Go. Game. GO!

CLAN WEBSITE

The Clan Website will be released either tomorrow or this weekend, depending on when I can get all the info transferred over to the new site pages. There will be a great deal more functionality coming to the site, but that is likely a month or so away. For now, the site will offer a new interface with drop down menus and a few new features as well as the removal of some old objects, such as the link to the now defunct Dark Voice. Be on the lookout for the new site email in your inboxes!

MILITARY OF SCHOLAE PALATINAE

The other week, I was looking at the various wiki pages that we have for the Legions, Fleet, and Starfighters. I thought to myself “Wow, these need work, not only fictionally, but organizationally as well. I need to get on this.” So, I have. I have been working with a few select individuals to nail down certain military organizational issues and form the military into a more cohesive unit.

The members that I have been working with have provided me with a great deal of insight in military organization both in Real Life as well as the Star Wars Universe. Their help has been enormously beneficial to me and as such, I have named four of them to my War Council and given them command of the various branches of the Military.

The War Council is made up of:

Supreme Commander Phoenix Palpatine (Commander in Chief of the Military Forces of CSP)

Grand Marshal Lucien Kaeth (Field Commander of all Military Forces of CSP)

High Marshal Thran Occasus (Commander of the Star Forces of CSP, aka TIE Corps)

Grand Moff Timbal (Commander of the Fleet of CSP)

Field Marshal Angelo Dante (Commander of the Ground Forces of CSP, aka Legions of Scholae)

High General Ric Korbain (Commander of the Marine Forces of CSP)

In addition to these members, two other members have been given high level appointments within the military for their assistance in this project. They are:

General Impetus Palpatine (Commander of CSP Legion Special Operations Command)

Marshal Brent Victae (Marshal of Caina Command)

Major Robin Hawk (Science Officer for the Legions of Scholae)

In addition to all this, all members above the rank of Dark Jedi Knight will be given a commission in the Military. As soon as this report is released, I will be putting up a forum on the message boards asking each DJK+ member of CSP to choose which branch of the military that they would like to belong to. After all members have chosen, assignments to specific units will take place.

You may wonder, “How did those folks get special positions in the military?” Well, I’ll tell you. Impetus has been instrumental in helping us keep up with the wiki work for the Legions. Archangel has helped me immensely with actual organization. Robin has helped me in a way that I wouldn’t have thought possible. She has created uniforms for the members of the War Council. They are of such high quality that it was deemed that she deserved not only a field promotion from Lieutenant to Major, but placement as the ranking Science Officer in the Legions of Scholae. An example of her work so far. (Keep in mind that these are first drafts, and while they look stunning, they are not finished.)

As you can see, all my medals are displayed on the left side of the uniform. This was done during the first draft, but after looking at the clumsiness of the medals, I have decided that ribbons representing those medals would be more appropriate. So, I have begun the process of creating ribbons that will make more sense and will look better on the uniforms themselves. A preview of the ribbons:

Those are the top four medals that someone can earn in the DB, the Golden Lightsaber, the Silver Sash, the Diamond Sword, and the Emerald Dagger. More images will be coming soon, I promise!

ACTIVITY OR AWOL

THIS IS IMPORTANT! IF YOU ARE A MEMBER RANKED BELOW DARK JEDI KNIGHT, THEN THIS SECTION DIRECTLY RELATES TO YOU!

As of tomorrow, May 1st, there will be a new program in CSP to help the Summits deal with who is active and who is AWOL. The program is as follows:

The Activity or AWOL program is quite simple. In any given month, the members of CSP are expected to exhibit some measure of activity, whether it is posting to a run-on, submitting to a competition, playing on Gaming Nights, etc. Any member not putting forth the effort to participate and contribute to the Clan will be given a warning. If, after the warning, the member still does not contribute to the Clan or Brotherhood, they will be referred to the MAA for removal to the Rogues.

This is more than just trying to spur on activity. This is about keeping only the dedicated, eager individuals on our roster so that the next time a large competition comes around, we aren’t sitting with dead weight on our roster that may or may not count against us. It also proves to the Clan Summit who is truly worthy of advancement and accolades.

The AoA program will take into account any scheduled LoA’s. So, if you are going to be gone, please submit a LoA Request so that you are not marked unfavorably on the AoA sheet at the end of the month.

Apprentice – Jedi Hunter

Complete any of the following items in any given month:

1. Submit to a Battleteam, House, Clan, or DB Competition

2. Post to a run-on

3. Log 10 hours on IRC.

4. Complete a task for your House Summit

5. Participate in Gaming Nights

6. Make no less than 3 meaningful edits to your wiki page.

7. If Guardian or above, complete one portion of your Knighthood Trials.

In order to receive credit for participation, all members will be required to CC the appropriate email address for their House.

MASTER-STUDENT PROGRAM

The Master-Student Program of CSP has been lacking in a few areas lately and I felt it was necessary to bring it up to date while still staying true to our heritage. As such, I have devised a new set of promotional guidelines for members up to and including the rank of Dark Jedi Knight.

There are two very important issues that need to be addressed separate from the actual guidelines:

1. MASTERS MUST NOW BE RANKED EQUITE LEVEL 1 OR HIGHER BEFORE REQUESTING A STUDENT. ONLY THOSE “EXCEPTIONAL” DARK JEDI KNIGHTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE ON STUDENTS. “EXCEPTIONAL” IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE COMBINED HOUSE AND CLAN SUMMITS.

2. ALL TASKS IN A GIVEN RANK SET MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL BEFORE A PROMOTION RECOMMENDATION WILL BE PROCESSED BY THE SUMMITS. FAILURE TO COMPLETE ALL ASSIGNED PORTIONS OF THE TRIAL SET WILL HOLD BACK PROMOTIONS. THERE WILL BE NO MORE “ALMOST COMPLETE” OR “90% DONE” AND A RECC BEING WRITTEN. 100% COMPLETE OR NOTHING.

1. 8 page fiction

2. Runon with Master

3. Graphics (must be high quality and include at least a ¾ page description)

Service

1. Run a multi-event, multi-week competition for your House

2. Swear the Oath of Fealty to the Clan

1. Complete the wiki with no tags

1. Suggest or make an improvement to the House

3. Represent your House in a Clan-wide event

Clan – Complete All

Knowledge:

1.              Must complete a minimum of 18 Shadow Academy courses in total  
   

2.              Must complete the requirements and be awarded a Dark Maven Degree  
   

Trials (Cannot be started until all other requirements have been completed)

1. Trial of Glory

    1. The Trial of Glory is given by the CON/PCON of the Clan and should bring glory to the Student. It should be an example of what the student is best at. There is no time limit to this task, but it must be completed before moving on to the Trial of Honor.  
   

2. Trial of Honor

    1. The Trial of Honor is given by the Quaestor of the House and should showcase what the epitome of a member of the House is capable of. There is no time limit to this task, but it must be completed before moving on to the Trial of Remembrance.  
   

3. Trial of Remembrance

    1. The Trial of Remembrance is given by the Student’s Master and should reflect the relationship that the Master and Student have had in the past and will continue to have in the future. There is no time limit to this task, but it must be complete before a recommendation for promotion will be written.

CONCLUSION

It’s been a busy few weeks for your PCON. After the tax season concludes, there is a ton of additional work that needs to be done in order to properly prepare for the fall busy season, which begins September 1st and ends on October 15th.

This means nothing, considering this amount of work is nothing in comparison to the amount that I had three weeks ago. My life has settled down considerably since the beginning of March, what with the moving and tax season. I have blocked off time each and every day for DB work, which means that my progress on several projects will go from impulse speed to warp 9.95. As projects get near completion, other may crop up, so be on the lookout for an email asking for volunteers. Volunteering for projects gets you noticed by the Summits and is a sure fire way to help your advancement cause.

So, to wrap up, go post in the forum about the military, take time to peruse the new MSP and the Activity or AWOL program if it applies to you. Be on the lookout for the new CSP website and COMPETE IN THE INDEPENDENCE GAMES!
