Disciples of Plagueis,

First, allow me to give you many apologies for the infrequency of these reports. With the Independence Games in full swing and the Troy Denning book signing... I was a bit off the normal scheduling. However, with the games conclusion and one of the Brotherhood's first, big recruitment appearances over... you, once again, get your Consul back. But there have been considerable changes to the look of our clan recently... let us discuss in further detail.

Clan News

There have been several leadership changes with the conclusion of the Independence Games. House Exar Kun has consolidated both of its Battle Teams and placed them under the command of Famosus Aspicio. Both of the former leaders have graciously accepted sub-leadership positions under Famosus so that they might further their own skills for future leadership opportunities. Additional changes have also taken place in Exar Kun with the retirement of Cipher Isradia. Her Aedile, Rilkel, will be stepping in to fill the void that her departure will take.

In addition to Cipher's retirement was our Clan Proconsul's. Ky Terrak resigned his commission, but will be joining both Vessicant and Cipher on the Council of the Wise; trusted perspective of Clan Plagueis. He was also given another significant honor within our Clan... Ky was awarded the title of di Plagia. He is now one of a select few with our Clan Title. Be sure to congratulate both Cipher and Ky on their appointments to the Council of the Wise and Ky on his new title!

What happens with Clan Proconsul and HEK AED? We will be opening the position of Proconsul to applications and hope to find a capable candidate for AED during the process. The requirements have been posted on the DB News page, but I will also post them here for your reference. A member must be at least the rank of Dark Jedi Knight, have held a position of AED or higher, possess a 24 hour turn time on e-mail and have weekend availability. In addition, applications should include personal experience, a 30/60/90 day plan, thoughts on clan development and new membership development, as well as your expectations for the position. Members whom are not serious about becoming an eventual Dark Councilor need not apply.

Brotherhood News

The 2008 Independence Games have concluded. We saw nearly 700 submissions; not including gaming results. That is quite a few, but I was hoping for more. I learned a considerable amount of things about planning, scheduling and administrating such an event... I am thoroughly excited about applying that knowledge to a future event. Though it will be some time before I dare another major, brotherhood-wide event. However, it should help with the upcoming Clan Feud!

Recently, the Brotherhood made a massive step forward in the process of recruitment. Our Deputy Grand Master, Muz Keibatsu, produced numerous flyers to handout at public events. We debuted these new flyers at a Troy Denning book signing in Indianapolis, IN to the hundreds that showed up! We also presented the acclaimed Star Wars author with an honorary membership to the Dark Brotherhood - plaque and all! We look forward to similar chances to reach out to new members in the future!

What is next? I always hear this question amongst new and old members alike. What is going to happen next in the Dark Brotherhood? Where are we going? And, truth be told, it is an exciting time to receive that question. The Dark Council has been hard at work on over 200 new Force Powers, exciting new fiction and development (Iron Throne Armed Forces & Navy), new member retention and recruitment. Just show them the same patience and tolerance that we give George Lucas and every author that writes our books! :-p

THE FIN

So we are going through another metamorphosis as a Clan. This is good news. We will continue to develop new initiatives and progress throughout the Clan. It will the contributions of everyone, not just a few, that determine how this era in our Clan's history will be determined. So lets roll up our sleeves and get to work, folks. We have Prospectus work to get feedback on, we have planets to further define/expand upon and a Clan to represent in the Brotherhood arena.
