Warriors of the Ascendant Clan,

Another week has passed us by, but it has not been without major momentum. This week, the Clan - Our Clan - got an exciting infusion of new talent and energy in the forms of Kara Rohana, Bal Demona and Ralph Vundu. These three, coupled with our other outstanding Journeymen, give me proof - not just hope - that the days of Clan Plagueis vying for First Clan are upon us. We now have the core that we need. Get excited. Get very excited. We are going to seize this momentum and do great things with it!

Clan News

Proconsul applications are still being received. I have seen several interesting ones already and can attest that this is the strongest set of candidates I have ever seen vying for a position in the Dark Brotherhood. I believe that we will be able to collect big on these ideas and people; pushing our Clan forward. I hope to make the announcement sometime later this week about whom our next Proconsul and future Consul of Plagueis will be. We will also, hopefully, be able to determine the next Aedile of House Exar Kun at that time, as well.

Another development within the Clan is pooling of resources and ideas. Syphoc Rilkel has asked for members of House Exar Kun, whom are interested in helping expand the House's fiction, to contact him. Being part of this team is a good idea, as it will probably start out as a small house-based project and bloom into a full Clan initiative. Being on the cutting edge, in this case, is something I strongly encourage each of you to do. Across the Clan, in House Satal Keto, Alex is putting together a similar team while Alaris is starting to draft an intriguing plot line that will map our Clan's time with Aabsdu into the military dictatorship under me..

Dacien and Cipher have also began a major renovation of the Clan website. The Praetor: Head Master has carved time into his schedule to help us create a new clan database on our web site that will allow for expanded fictional development and ease of archiving your material. And... Masters and Apprentices... will be administrated through the site; keeping everyone in the loop. Cipher has volunteered to do MORE graphic work for us, by creating military uniforms for our members and our newfound military design.

Famosus and I have been working on Prospectus re-draft material. He completed an engaging section on the economy that will go through some final edits on my desk; then we are going to begin, in earnest, on the rest of the material. The history section will be left open until Alaris fully plots out a story. Then he and I will begin scribing it in full form... inviting each of you to make unique contributions as we progress.

Deputy Grand Master Report: Muz shows off some more flashy graphics from the ever evolving possessions system. Additionally, there are images from the Troy Denning book signing and a brief mention of our club's future direction with recruitment.

Seneschal Report: Grand Master Emeritus Jac Cotelin has taken the reigns as the Seneschal, delivering us our coding! His latest report introduces himself, his ideas on the position and the future of the SCL's office. Including, for those of you interested, a future as Praetor.

Movement to Contact: Raken has written a brilliant, masterful plot movement point for the entire Dark Brotherhood. The fiction sheds new light on the aftermath of the Yuuzhan Vong Incursion and the Grand Master's approach to retaking Antei. Several notable members are made, but the plot remains to circle around our Dark Lord of the Sith... as it should.

For those of you unfamiliar with navigating the Wiki, and for those of you whom are a bit rusty, this is a good time to brush up!

The Message

Life is what you make it. You are your own master, planner, teacher and motivator. Whatever you set your mind to is what you can accomplish. One of my favorite quotes is a great expression of this, "You are not what you were born, but what you have it in yourself to be..."

The same can be said about our time in Clan Plagueis and the Dark Brotherhood. This experience is what you make it. I want to be a Dark Prophet and possess a Silver Sash. I work tirelessly to stabilize the Brotherhood and develop new ways to engage our membership. Because I know that it requires a tremendous amount of dedication to attain my two goals. To succeed in this club, you have to go out and get it. You have to be a self-motivator and work the 'grind' to make it to Elder status.

My job, as your Consul, is to help you realize your potential. So whatever your wish may be... I am here to help you understand how to attain it. Bear in mind that it may require a lot of work and patience, but I can help get you there. How? I will use Dark Knight Alaris Jinn as an example. When I engaged him about his future plans for the club, he stated that he wanted to become the Consul of Clan Plagueis. He nervously laughed afterward, but from that moment forward we have been discussing what he needs to learn and do to build his resume for eventual Consulship and life as a Dark Councilor.

So, this week, I encourage each of you to e-mail me with what you hope to achieve in terms of Brotherhood success. And together we can begin to map out how we get there.

THE FIN

The Clan is moving upward. We have new energy and are in need of directing it towards a positive source. Each of you should let me know what your long term goals are immediately... thus, we might be able to hit two birds with one stone: move the clan and your brotherhood career forward. Just keep the faith and trust in your Consul.
