My friends,

A lot of changes this month. First off, Zandro has decided that due to RL he’ll be stepping down as Quaestor of House Qel-Droma. We were discussing this last night, ant we came to realise that he couldn’t remember a period where he hadn’t been leading something or other in Arcona for almost 2 years – this is a truly remarkable feat of loyalty and dedication to Arcona, and I’d like you all to pass on your heartfelt thanks for his efforts – he damn well deserves it.

We’ve recently been holding DB-wide applications for the position of House Galeres Aedile, however, with Chris stepping down Mejas and I agreed that it was in the best interests of the House that another leader was appointed instantly, if for nothing else but to tide over Qel-Droma until a Quaestor can be appointed. With that in mind, we drew from the pool of applicants for Galeres Aedile and appointed DJK Tirano Yamayura to the role. His application was solid with ideas and enthusiasm and he brings an outside perspective to both the clan and Qel-Droma that I feel will be refreshing. Everyone give him a big welcome.

In regards to Galeres Aedile, we’re still waiting to hear back from a few people before we appoint it, so that should be announced within the next few days. Also, I’d like to say that applications for HQD Quaestor are NOT being taken at this time, however that could change in the near future.

We’ve also got an old face to welcome back – Khobai Wrathraven. Oh and also, congrats to DJK Legorii! Well deserved, man.

Comps:

The IGs are over now, we’re just waiting on the grades. I’ve heard a few of you were participating – good work for that, but don’t worry too much about the outcome guys, I’d much rather you saved yourselves for the GJW and maintained a steady rate of activity than burn yourselves out on the IGs, trust me =P

We’ve recently had Lego’s Pinball Competition, and I believe that Malidir is running a couple of flash game comps (putting and helicopter) – check the clan mailing list and the competition centre for those. I’m sure there are some other that I’ve missed too, so make sure to keep an ear to the ground on the mailing list for them.

Other than that, there’s a clan RO. Progress has been slow for a couple of days, as I’ve been busy as hell resolving the AED/QUA issue as well as RL shit, but I’m gonna try to get a post in today sometime. Let’s hope you guys can too.

Tasks:

My main bag this month has been working on clan RO as well as re-jigging the wiki. Oh, incidentally, I’ll be getting back to those that volunteered to help shortly – it’s just a case of creating a ‘to-do’ list that can be assigned to various people.

RL:

My deadlines are stacking up and I have a couple of exams thrown in there to boot, so I may be scarce for the next week or so, however I will hopefully be done by around the 10th of June. After that I plan to gorge on Arcona shit =P

Oh, I’m also meeting the boyfriend’s mom this weekend, so I’m shitting bricks in that respect as well =P
