Heyo all, and welcome to my first report as Aedile of the House. Ill admit it is a bit late, you can thank the wonderful people I work with mixed with the fools who like to drink and drive/boat this weekend for that. :P Anyways nothing to serious going on at the time, a few minor competitions out right now. As Im sure everyone knows we have a Vendetta coming up soon, within a few weeks I believe, so gear yourselves up for that. As some of you may or may not know, one of mine and Arch's tasks when assigned to the Summit was to make this House what it once was, First House. While to some that may not mean much, it does to me. Our chance to do this is in the upcoming Vendetta. We have the chance to not only be the First House in the Clan, but possibly the first in the competition, and that is saying ALOT! All I ask from you the members is to have fun, do what your here to do, and do your best at it.

The Herald has implemented the "Rule of Three". This basically means that all ranks that are eligible for Warbanners and custom sabers are only allowed three (3) requests during a rank period. Pretty much if your EQ2 and make 3 requests you have to wait till EQ3 before you can make any more.

((Military of the Royal Clan - Naming Competition))

With the reorganization and bolstering of the Military arm of Scholae Palatinae, the Clan Summit and War Council have found themselves with more units than had been previously named, and the creation of Marines. Your task is to provide a series of names for the Legions of your House and the Legions of the Clan as well as the Marines of Scholae.

Forums will be placed on the message boards that members will be required to post to in order to be qualified for medals.

There will be five categories:

House Acclivis Draco

House Caliburnus

House Dorimad Sol

Clan Scholae Palatinae

Marines

All members must post only to their House boards and the ones set aside for Clan and Marines.

((Journeyman Competition for June))

With the Independence Games come and gone, we have seen some of the Brotherhood's best fighters go one-on-one in combat. Write a short story of at least one page describing one of these battles, paying particular attention to the fighting styles used.

You may use your own character or other DB members, but the battle must be on the ground, no air fights. Lightsabers, hands, it doesn't matter. It is suggested you use the ACC Compendium or the SA Courses 'Hand-to-Hand Combat' and 'Lightsaber Studies' for more detail.

Words of Wisdom

Something that Ive seen stressed alot and something I feel the need to say. This club, is just that a club. It was made and designed for you to enjoy, have fun, and use to let off steam. If you are at the point that you cannot do that, then take a step back and take the time to get yourself back into the game. I say this because everyone is here by choice, that said if you dont enjoy being here, why are you? I do want to say I dont want to run anyone off with that statement, Im just wanting everyone to know they are free to come and go as they please.

Oh and I also gotta say this, Im really appreciating the amount of people replying to my "Non-comp, Comp" post on the groups. As I said when I sent it out, its not mandatory to participate in, and you wont recieve a medal or promotion for doing it directly. However it is a guage of activity and it gives us all a chance to get to know one another, in character and out. I see us as a mini-family of sorts and this is a way to get to know one another. Again thanks, and keep posting, Ill have another one up around next Friday sometime. This time it will be an IC question.........
