Headmaster Report #9
News
--After working for two years as an EP, Quejo has decided it's time to move on. As such, the position of EP for IRC Basics is now open to applications. You must be at least the rank of Protector and have passed the course before this report was posted. Your application should include your favorite thing about the course and your least favorite, and how you would improve it. Also include a personal answer key for the exam. Send applications to Dacien Victae and myself by June 23rd.
--If you are ranked Apprentice through Jedi Hunter, you still have two days to submit to the June Journeymen Competition. Activity is low this time around, I guess you're burnt out from the IGs, so there are three easy crescents up for grabs, always a good thing to add towards your next promotion. Information on that competition can be found here.
--Due to the fact that we are currently working on around eight or nine new courses, plus a bunch of degrees, the Shadow Academy is pretty much booked on stuff for the next decade. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but what I'm getting at is that Bubba and I are not going to be accepting as many new course proposals for a while. If you have something that you think is really really needed, send it to us, but we're gonna start being more strict due to our current workload.
--I recently purchased a Macbook Pro and am now using that for all my work and DB stuff. Right now I'm still figuring out how to work IRC, since that's a PC program, so if you need to contact me, email me, at least until I get that problem solved.

Projects
--SA Course audits are going to begin within the next few weeks, so if you volunteered for that expect an email soon. Those will last for a little under a month, after which Bubba and I will start going through and making changes that need to be made. It's all for the better, though.
--Bubba and I also recently finished up the coding and such for a new course, so you'll see that released towards the beginning of July, maybe even sooner. Once that is released, we will also be releasing a new Dark Maven degree sometime in July.

Featured Course of the Week
This report's featured course is........ Astronomy! I, personally, love space. The History Channel's The Universe is one of my favorite shows. Black holes, supernovas, that stuff amazes me. This course is Star Wars-oriented, obviously, but it actually has a lot of real life truth to it as well. It covers distance, stars, phenomenon, as well as some of the more famous Star Wars planets. In the end, this is just a fun course that teaches you some really cool things. It's well worth the ten, fifteen minutes it requires to take it. You can find the course notes for Astronomy here.
