Introduction

Welcome to another Edition of The Derev Springe....I mean Exar's Shadow Report! Been a good week for the team, lots of activity=happy Derev. Theres some comps below, as well as my first part of the GJW Boot Camp, the ACC.

Operation Fill up the Battleteam

Is...complete! w00t! Exar's Shadow is fully staffed at 12 members, all of whom appear to be active. Because the battleteam is full, I'm going to institute an old Squadron Rule about activity, see below!

Flight Leaders / Squadron Move Around

Your new Flight Leaders are Bal Demona and Ralph vundu. I recieved 7(!!) applications for FL, some of which were very impressive. I ended up having to choose from several equal candidates. That being said, I do reserve the right to rotate other people into these positions if I feel the need. Everyone in the team has been moved around a bit as well. We'll be following the Command Structure of a normal Squadron, meaning that we have three flights. I command flight one, Bal commands flight two, and Ralph commands flight three. Each flight has four people in it. The Flight Leader or Commander directly above you on the roster is your flight leader.

Each Flight Leader will be tasked with running one 'low-level' competition per month. Additionally, I will run at least two competitions per month. There should be at least one form of competition every week, sometimes more.

Activity Reporting

Going forward, all activity will be sent to your Flight Leader (only send to me if you're in Flight One). Also, if you are a gamer, you will CC Dismal Dupar on your activity report -if- it contains any form of gaming. Dismal is running a special tracking project for me just for gamers. Flight Leaders will compile thier activity reports, adding in thier own activity, and send that on to me for final inclusion in the report.

Squadron Standing Orders

The following are..standing orders that govern the Squadron..read, adhere, be happy :)

S.O.#1- "The Rule of Three" shall be activated within the Squadron. In any week that the Squadron is at full capacity (12 members), the Rule of Three will be in use. If, during that week, a member of the Squadron is inactive, they will recieve a strike. If a member recieves three consecutive strikes -or- a total of 5 strikes in a 60 day period, they will be removed from the Squadron, and barred from re-entry for 15 days. This rule allows members seeking entrance into the Squadron an opportunity. Strikes will not be given in a week where there are 11 or less members in the Squadron.

"Activity" for the purpose of not getting a strike is: being awarded a medal, being promoted, completing a Shadow Academy Course, participating in the ACC, participating in any competition, participating in a run-on, or any other substantiated activity (meaning it generates a database email or it can be verified from your ATR). Additionally, in a week that a Squadron Competition is available, that competition MUST be participated in or a member will recieve a strike (this would not occur if for example, it is an ACC competition and the member is not apart of the ACC, but would apply for something like a Motto Competition). Members will recieve an email notice from thier Flight Leader after one strike reminding them to be active. Members who are one strike from being removed (either by consecutive or cumulative strikes) will recieve an email from the Commander about thier status.

S.O.#2- Members who intend to take a LoA of 20 days or more should dismiss themselves from the Squadron is the Squadron has 12 members at the time of the LoA. Any member who is on a marked LoA for longer then 20 days will be removed from the Squadron, and barred from re-enty for 15 days.

S.O.#3- Flight Leaders shall track and maintain the activity of members within thier Flight. Flight Members should cooperate with Flight Leaders in this regard.

S.O.#4- When running a competition, activity, or other tasking from the Squadron Commander, the Flight Leader has the full authority of the Commander in that regard. Flight Members should cooperate with the Flight Leaders in this regard.

S.O.#5- Disreputable behavior is grounds for dismissal from the Squadron at the discretion of the Squadron Commander. This includes any CoJ offense, as well as other matters that may not merit the CoJ. Being a member of a Exar's Shadow is a privilage, not a right, and that privilage may be revolked.

So yes, GJW is coming later this year... My first area of focus is going to be the ACC, I'm going to run a boot camp of sorts for the Battle Team (as well as other interested house members), more info will be coming on this, next week hopefully.
