Clan Report: Volume 2 Report #11 for Week Ending 22/06/08

<span class="style11">Introduction</span>

Welcome to another exciting Clan report! I've been postponing this till all my awards were issued, see below for info! The last recent period has been a tumultuous time in Clan Arcona, but with various issues arising, Dash and I have done our best to keep these issues suppressed so as not to effect your "Arcona experience"! Since my last report we have seen Zandro step down and many new faces step up. Competitions are flowing, #arcona is always flowing with chat and more than ever, since my return as Consul, the Clan has a real edge and vibrancy to it again. I personally hope this is the start of our climb towards Brotherhood dominance - ultimately it is you guys who will decide that!

 

New Summit Appointments<>

As you are all aware Zandro ahs stepped down and our various command spots have needed to updated for quite some time. We decided therefore, to open applications Brotherhood wide to see what interest lay both inside and outside the Clan. We recieved a variety for very good applications for the QUA and 2x AED spots. From these we appointed DJK Vorion, DJK Tirano and KP Tyren. All 3 leaders have so far made a good impact on arrival and I am looking for some great work form them. They each have the kind of vision and drive I am looking for and feel they will be a great asset to the Clan.Congratulations once again gents and thanks for your work so far - and more importantly - the stuff still to come!

 

 

Inter-Clan Transfers <>

With the arrival of our new members some other Clan leaders and Clansmen have been making allegations and insinuating that Arcona is not playing by the book. We have been accused of "stealing" members and other such nonsense. We all know this to be completely untrue. The ignorance (and refusal to accept the facts) of some people is unparalleled at times and the fact that it is me who they are often accusing is even more ludicrous. Most people in the DB know me and know how I behave with regards Brotherhood affairs. I am not sneaky, underhanded or cowardly. I say things to peoples faces and I am brutally honest and open at all times - regardless of who I offend/ upset/ disagree with. For members to suggest we have been stealing others is crazy for the following reason:** Applications were open DB wide and announced on the news page. People then applied and the best were appointed. THIS IS NOT RECRUITING!!!**

Please ignore any and all comments from here on in. I'd suggets that recent transfers AVOID their former Clan channels so as not to upset the crying, desperate members in said Clans. We have attracted these new members by offering oppertunity, by sharing an ethos of committment, drive and focus. I have spoken to most new transfers and they have said quite openly to me that the welcome and fun they have had in this Clan so far GREATLY surpasses even the best times they had in Nag.... their former Clans! We haven't even started yet either Arcona, so lets forget the current isues surrounding this stuff, blow our new arrivals socks off when it comes to REAL activity and comps and prove we are the bigger, better Clan. I can forsee that with our resurgance and growth in power there will be many more who flock to our call! I say, let them come and further strengthen our cause - but let them come through their own choice. I will be EVEN ANGRIER than the desperate Consul's who are accusing me, if I find out anyone of you has threatened the honour of Arcona by illegally recruiting members. I know it not to be true, but take heed, the Mejas only warns people once...

Expect policy changes in this area from the MAA in coming weeks.

 

Independence Games 2008 <>

The results are being collated but as of yet are not out. I know there are some members (LEGORII FOR THE WIN!!!) who went all out in this competition. Those of you who took part in any form, Arcona salutes you and wishes you all the best the results. This was not a Clan priority but a Brotherhood event in which many of you took part.

"Ménage à Trois" Clan Feud - Part Deux <>

I have read the proposed fiction for the first 2 weeks for this event. It has still not been finished but I'm expecting the last few chapters any day now. We will be pitted against Plageuis and Scholae Palatinae in this event. I hope you are ready to rise up and defend Arcona's honour in this event. The last time we feuded CSP we destroyed them (literally) with a washout in EVERY single event. They are far stronger now and Plageuis should never be underestimated either. I expect the current Clan buzz to be channelled into a mass of activity and competition submissions when this event kicks off.

Furthmore, I have another Clan waiting in the wings to challenge us...we'll seehow the 3-way goes first - then we'll crush this lot too!!! Hahahaha!
