First report time.

I consider the first week of working with the ACC Staff a success. I’ve had several good discussions about stuff with everyone, and even had time to fulfill one of the things I want to do regularly, which is get feedback and involvement from the Clan Summits. So, I’ve been really happy with what’s gone on so far.

Six new Trainers have been brought on board in this last week. Sklib, Xathia and Quejo have done a great job thus far, and I appreciate everything they kept doing (slave labor,, almost), while it was just the three of them. Now that we have Shikyo, Tsainetomo, Erinyes, Derev, Alaric and Korras on board, you’re still welcome to challenge Sklib, Xathia and Quejo, but give them a little bit of slack, and let them enjoy the fact that the load can be shared now. Please, feel free to challenge any of those nine Trainers for your Qualification or Training needs.

By the way, in the coming week or two, I figure I’ll take a Training battle here and there. I apologize to the people I’ve had to decline Training battles from, but for the moment, there’s stuff that I need to take care of first to make sure the ACC is running as well as it can. I figure, I’ve got to focus on getting the initial administrative stuff out of the way and done before anything else can happen. And like I say, there’s nine great Trainers available right now, so you should be ok on those battles.

As far as DCM, I am not picking one yet. I don’t have a specific person in mind. However, on choosing that person, I will say, it’s going to be someone from Staff already; this means, your opportunities for DCM will be defined whether or not you are brought on in a staff position. The people already in a staff position have first priority, and I know some of them are interested. In the coming week, depending on what the Judges think, I may be adding in a couple of Judges. I’m not making any promises right now. The Judges are doing great, and I only plan on bringing in people if they feel like it will help the group as a whole.

So please, if you want to be a part of the ACC, that’s awesome. Feel free to drop me an application. I’ve received some great ones from Braecen, Macron, Dock, Dash, and others as well. I appreciate the interest, and I’ll be in touch, for sure. But realize, I’m not taking applications for DCM directly. If you’re only interested in DCM, and you wouldn’t want to serve in another position, it’s probably not going to happen.

Halc and Taldryan are, from what I’ve seen, still having fun in Swift Justice. You guys are doing a great job. I appreciate Halc being able to take care of all of the battle opening and judging needs. He must have experience doing that kind of thing.

In my application, I gave a list of three things I wanted to accomplish within the first 30 days of my being CM. Those three things were: find out where the character sheets were in beta from Jac, and figure out what I can do to help him out; do an audit of the ACC rules, and start getting things changed where they need to be; conduct an evaluation of the Clan Summits on how they feel the ACC is doing, where they’d like to see improvement, and things of that nature.

I got in touch with Jac. He’s a busy mofo, but he will be providing me with info on those and an update when he has a chance; thank you Jac. I appreciate it, buddy. I have started the audit on the rules; some of the good discussions the ACC Staff and I have had are about those rules. Even Muz has been able to give some input on those. I appreciate them all. The evaluation of the House Summits was begun, and I have received input from pretty much every Consul. I still plan on polling the Clan Summits more as the months pass by (I’d like to do one poll a month right now), but I also plan on polling the members from each Clan through the Consuls. So I’d say I’ve been able to really start out on getting where I want to be this month.

I think I’ll leave that one there. Like I say, plan on monthly reports for now (publicly). What I plan on doing is on or about the 1st of the month, I’ll be doing a report for Sarin, Muz and Raken (basically an IR), and then on or about the 15th of the month, sending a report like this to the Dark Summit and/or posting on the DB site. I feel like posting this one on the site.

Joke time. Bonus points for those of you who can name where it’s from. Three tomatoes are going for a walk. A daddy tomato, a mommy tomato, and a little baby tomato. As they keep going, the little baby tomato keeps falling farther and farther behind. Finally, the daddy and mommy stop, and the daddy goes back and smashes the little baby tomato and says, “Ketchup.”
