[BAC Doomsday, 1130 hours, conference room B]

A collection of men and women dressed in low ranking New Republic uniforms gathered in a small conference room. The lights were low and the faces of the soldiers were grim. Their ship had departed Prakith en route back to Yridia and was currently in hyperspace.

An older gentleman dressed in a New Republic second lieutenant's uniform stood at the front of the room, hands clasped behind his back. His uniform had several large tears which had been mended, as well as a number of dark colored stains. The uniform had clearly seen better days. He sipped from a glass of water before beginning the meeting.

"My fellow Tarenti," he began. "We have several items of business to attend to this morning. The main news item is that our Proconsul, Rekio Corsair Tarentae, has stepped down for personal reasons. He has been a force of change and a voice of reason in our Clan for a long time and I am sorry to see him go. I suspect, however, that his influence will continue to manifest itself in other ways."

"The other item of news is that there are currently openings for officers in the Tarentum Army. If you would be interested in serving, I can provide you with directions for applying. The deadline is five days from now." Scion paused while a small burst of whispering died down. "If you would prefer to serve in the Navy, there will be an opportunity to apply in the near future."

"That concludes the business on today's agenda," Scion continued.

"May the Darkness guide you always. Thank you."
