The citizens of Kar Alabrek continued their consumption of alcohol long after the ceremony had ended. Few of the soldiers garrisoned at Kar Alabrek needed any reason to drink, the fact that it was free persuaded the remaining few. Atop Ragnos Cathedral, the banner of Derev Niroth flew in the wind under the banner of the Dlarit Corporation, signaling the Dark Jedis control of the planet through the Governorship of Tarthos.

Exactly one hundred meters above the ground, Sith Battlemaster Derev Niroth looked down on the soldiers trampling Trev's gardens. He took some sick satisfaction at that, knowing how it would piss off the House Overlord. It was no matter, by tomorrow the Cathedral would once more reflect a posture of war. The results of the war were still crystal clear, there was no peace, just vigilance.

As he turned back towards his desk, he reflected how little had changed. The desk was still the same, the chair was still the same. As he sat, he noted the ass-groove had changed. Groaning, he looked at the assembled group. They had changed. He'd known few of them the last time he was here. They would take some getting used to.

“Xander, order a new chair, I want it here yesterday” Derev spat as he adjusted in his seat. Standing behind him, his brother Mitsuhide laughed at the crude humor. His loyalty commanded admiration, assuming the duties of his Black Guard until one could be officially appointed. He had not left his side since his confirmation as Governor. While some of the assembled leaders questioned the interim-appointment, Derev did still have enemies, none could doubt the prudence of it.

Alexander, Jade and Tsingtao stood in front of the desk, awkwardly waiting for the Battlemaster to do whatever he'd summoned them here for. He just sat there, scanning a document over and over.

“Very well” the Battlemaster said at length “Distribute this to the House. A lot is going to be happening in the next few days, the three of you better be prepared”. Handing them each a copy of his report, he glanced down to another document. Unsure of their next move, the trio stood, waiting. Looking back up, he waved them away, as if they'd overstayed their welcome. As they exited and the doors closed, Derev looked back to Mitsuhide and laughed.

“They must think I'm an ass now. Good” Derev laughed again. As if suddenly remembering something, he looked at his brother again. “Oh yah Mits, I forgot, the Navy reports Whale Sightings in the Sea of Tarthos. Better get out there, she might be waiting for you”.

The three leaders stood in the hallway outside of the Quaestor's office, a dull laughter echoing into the hallway.

“What an ass” Alexander muttered. Tsingtao nodded in agreement. Jade grinned at the two men. “Nahh, he's always like that. I think he likes you two” she added as she glanced down to read the document.

Sith Battlemaster Derev Niroth

Introduction

Greetings. For those of you who don't know me, I'm SBM Derev Niroth. This'll be my second tenure as Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos, so I'm no stranger to the House and Clan. I won't bore anyone with my history, if you want to know it, check out my Wiki Page :)

Before I begin, I of course want to thank Ashia and Ashura for giving me the opportunity to lead House Marka Ragnos once again. I do have quite a few plans and ideas that I'll be fleshing out over the coming weeks with my leadership team. I'll touch on some of them in this report, others I'll get to next week :)

You can expect a report from myself every weekend. Xander will also be writing a mirroring report. We'll keep duplicate information to a minimum.

Me door is always open - I'd like to encourage everyone in the House to drop me an email. Tell me what you like about HMR, tell me what you dislike. Tell me what you're working on right now, let me know if you feel you've been overlooked for a promotion or medal. House Battleteams

(Theres not much new here, just putting it all to writing).

Night Hawks [Activated Status]

The Elite Battleteam of House Marka Ragnos. The Night Hawks are the 'Spear of the Quaestor', and answer only to him through the Battleteam Leader. Hand selected by the Squadron Commander, the Night Hawks are the most active members of House Marka Ragnos. Membership in the Night Hawks is a privilage that may be revolked for misconduct, low activity, and other disreputable behavior. Members interested in joining the Night Hawks should speak with the Squadron Commander. Membership in this Battleteam includes mandatory activities. Battleteam Adheres to Rule of Three*. Active members of the Night Hawks generally experience accelerated promotions and more frequent medals.

Ravana Squadron [Active Status]

Ravana Squadron is the training detatchment of House Marka Ragnos. All members entering the House are ordered to report to Ravana Squadron. Here, under the guidance of the Clan Rollmaster, Battleteam Leader, and Squadron XO, members are indoctrinated in the ways of the House and Clan. From here, members may be recruited to the Night Hawks (after attaining the rank of Protector), join the House at large (at the rank of Dark Jedi Knight), or join another battleteam (at the rank of Protector, if such Battleteams are available).

Avatars of Death [Reserve Status]

The Avatars of Death are a reserve unit of House Marka Ragnos. At times of increased recruitment, the Avatars are activated. The Avatars will accept overflow members from Ravana Squadron (in a Seniorty based manner). When activated, the Avatars of Death serve House Marka Ragnos in much the same manner as the Night Hawks, without the Elite Status.

Night Falcons [Deactivated Status]

The Night Falcons are a deactivated squadron of House Marka Ragnos. Fictionally, this squadron is staffed by NPCs of the Dlairit Navy. This squadron would be reactivated if the need and numbers were ever justified.

Night Raptors [Deactivated Status]

The Night Raptors are a deactivated squadron of House Marka Ragnos. Fictionally, this squadron is staffed by NPCs of the Dlairit Navy. This squadron would be reactivated if the need and numbers were ever justified.

*Rule of Three

Battleteams that adhere to the Rule of Three follow this outline.

In weeks where the Battleteam is at full capacity (12 Members), and a member does not participate in any activity(JUST being on IRC does not count as activity for this purpose), they recieve a strike. After two consecutive strikes, or three strikes in a five week period, that member will be removed from the Battleteam. They are then barred from re-entry for a period of two weeks. This system allows members desiring membership in the Battleteam to have an opportunity to join. No strikes are recieved in weeks where there are less then 12 members in the Battleteam.

Journeyman AWOL Check

All members of the House ranked Apprentice-Jedi Hunter will be recieving a direct email from me. You need to reply to this AWOL check by Thursday of this week (thats 5 full days). Anyone not responding who is not marked on a CURRENT LoA (meaning it hasen't expired) will be removed to the Rouges.

Black Guard Competition

With a new Quaestor means it's time to commission a new Black Guard. If you don't know what this is, fictionally you're my private body guard. The CON, PCON, QUAs, AEDs and RM all have one. As a Black Guard, you also get a seat on the Sadow Conclave, and a full voice in Clan Affairs.

The competition hasen't been approved yet, but you can start working on it now. It's a fiction, anyone is eligable to participate in the House. Minimum 2 pages, TNR 10. Maximum is 5 pages, TNR 10 (no excessive spacing to get your two pages, either). The subject is what exactly I've been upto since leaving Quaestor 18 months ago, and returning last month. Use my Wiki page, the parts that are documented on my Wiki should be accurate. The space in between, write something fictional about what I've been doing. Leading a Crusade, getting drunk every night, thats upto you! I'll be judging on writing skills (including spelling and grammar), humor, and realistic to my character. Entries must be submitted by July 31st. Entries to me, and Malisane (finding our email addresses is the first qualification of my Black Guard :D).

House Reports

Generally, I will release a report every weekend (generally Saturday). I'll ask that all other reports in the House (AED, RM (if appliable) and BTLs) are released by Friday.

Xander will cover Medals, Promotions, Shadow Academy, and a basic recap of the Battleteam Reports, as well as a current competition listing. My reports will generally highlight activities in the House, as well as showcase my own projects and the vision I am preparing for the house.

Quaestor's Projects

Some of the things I'm going to be working on in the coming days and weeks are here. This'll be in every report, and I'll need volunteers from time to time, so keep an eye or two here.

Kar Alabrek / Tarthos

This is a project I've already started. I'm basically going to flesh out whats been created, basically just adding more to it. I've been drawing out the Ragnos Cathedral, floor by floor, as well as Kar Alabrek. Eventually we'll all get to pick living spaces and what not. Fun times :)

Part Two

This'll come out in an email to HMR later tonight, but we're going to discuss the current situation fictionally in Kar Alabrek/Ragnos Cathedral/Alabrek Castle as a House.

Conclusion

I'll wrap this up where we are. Obviously this'll be a busy week as we all settle in and get the House moving. My door is always open, if you have any problems at all, with members or leaders in the House, or members elsewhere, or even RL problems, I'm here for you.
