House Dinaari Quaestor Report #22 - July 21st, 2008

Greetings all,

<p>I apologize for the late report - Kraval was supposed to handle reporting duties this week but he got tangled up. Granted with Halc's Consul report and with the House Summit sending out e-mails every other day you should be well informed but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be a report. I'll try not to let it happen again. Anyway, on with the important stuff!

<p>So the first round results are out for the Clan Feud. My thanks to those members who chose to participate on behalf of the House. Thanks to those who participated we hold a slight lead against Ektrosis but it won't hold up unless we get more submissions. We really need your help on the Run-on and Battleplan - visit our Swift Justice sub-forum to view those threads. This is where the big points are! Displaying good activity in big events like this show that you're willing to handle leadership in the future. If you don't perform don't bother applying for Aedile or Roll Master or anything I decide to open down the road (take that as a hint if you will).

<p>If you have any questions on any event please let Kraval and/or myself know as soon as possible so we can help you. ALL submissions are due no later than the 31st so if you send them in late they don't count, simple as that. Get your submissions in early to the required address ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) while CC'ing myself and Krav. Below is the list of remaining events:

• Poetry (Just write a few lines! An easy 5-10 minutes!)

• Graphics (Slap together something in MS Paint - 5 minutes!)

• Fiction Event #2 (Only need a page or so to count!)

• Run-on (need just two posts to get credit!)

• Battleplan (just post a few ideas in our thread to get credit)

<p>As you may have noticed I didn't include Gaming. This is because Gaming is of no importance to us. I want you to focus on the non-gaming events to get the easy participation points and to try and prevent giving away free points to Ektrosis. Get your submissions in as soon as possible!

<p>Not much more going on - at least nothing more important than the Clan Feud. While we're leading at the moment it is very misleading since we're lacking key participation in the Run-on and Battleplan. Other news includes (1) my current position of Right Hand of Justice [RHoJ] is open for applications. Get them in by Wednesday if you want my soon-to-be-former job. (2) You may have noticed SPAM going around the Clan e-groups ... DO NOT click on enclosed link. Just delete the mail and keep your virus and spyware programs up-to-date. (3) Muz got promoted to the insanely rare rank of Dark Prophet which is next to impossible to attain and hold - especially since they tend to move onto the position (and rank) of Grand Master next. (4) Check out the main DJB news page for more information.

<p>Not much going on this week in terms of awards due to it being the middle of the month. Keep in mind that there will be major awards given out for Clan Feud participation. Nevertheless I do have some things to announce.

<p>Finally, we have a new member. HangTime is a new guy from the Shadow Academy who already received his first real promotion to the rank of Novice by passing the Brotherhood Basics exam, among other things. Congrats! We look forward to his continued progress.

<p>I can't urge any more than I already have for you all to participate in the Clan Feud. We only have big events like this a few times a year so if you want a good medal or promotion you NEED to participate - there are no exceptions. As I said before I don't pick people to lead who don't show decent activity, especially in the bigger competitions. Every little bit helps so get your crap in already - I know it's summer and you might be busy but so is everyone else.

<p>Oh, there ARE still Easter Eggs in my reports - at least until the end of the month. As usual the Crescent(s) go those who get in their answers before midnight of the following day this report is released. So far only one person has gotten a Crescent from this very difficult competition. Good luck.

<p>To finish up I recommend getting on Internet Relay Chat (IRC) to talk with your fellow Taldryan members (and the rest of the DJB if you so choose). For our Journeymen there is a wealth of competitions going on right now so if you want to get ahead start participating! Your rank is determined solely by you. Have a great week!
