Prodigy of Plagueis Announcement; July 10th, 2008

The Guardian awoke in the middle of the night. His chest labored, a cold sweat over his body and a severe sense of nausea plagued his gut. Stiffly, he rolled out from his bunk and let his bare feet slam onto the cold stone floor of the Dark Tower. For a moment he took in his surroundings.

As his eyes adjusted to the surroundings, he recalled the bizarre summons from the House Satal Keto base on Morroth to the Dark Tower - home of Clan Plagueis - upon Kapsina. The directive had been a simple order: Transfer to Clan HQ. The order had been signed by the Clan Proconsul, Yzarc Kaeth. Shaking his head, the Guardian pushed himself up and began to cross the room towards a pitcher of water. Halfway across the room he felt it.

It was a subtle urging, almost a subconscious voice that demanded heeding. At first he attempted to shrug off the beckon by pouring, and draining, a glass of water. But with each passing moment the calling became more intense - creating a buzzing in the back of his mind. Unsure of the nature of the Force manifestation, Ashron took a hesitant step towards the door. The buzzing ceased for a lone moment. And then it clicked in his mind... I have to follow this to the end.

His path led him through various levels of the ancient, ominous structure which housed the Dark Jedi of the Jusadih System. It was an eery trip, however, due to the lack of natural lighting and the ever present torches spaced along various walls. Yet, finally, he broke free of the gloom into the courtyard at the rear of the building. The dark skies made the stars shine brilliantly, illuminating the courtyard and the figures that stood in a semi-circle about it. The buzzing, in its entirety, suddenly ceased. "Approach," a strong voice called. Ashron heeded the summons of the dark clad figure immediately.

"Kneel," another voice thundered over him. Again, he obeyed. Probing in the Dark Side, Ashron could feel the Force signatures of several prominent members in the obscure meeting place: Corran Force, Jonaleth Isradia, Cipher Isradia, Yzarc Kaeth, Alaris Jinn, Alex d'Tana, Braecen Kaeth, Godo Nurok and Arion Sunrider. A regular collection of who is who, thought the Guardian.

The Consul stepped forward, "Ashron, we have brought you before this combined collection of Leaders and Elders for a single purpose." The Guardian inhaled, hoping against hope that this ritual did not involve the sacrificing of a Journeyman. "You have been selected as a Prodigy of Plagueis. It is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a member whom does not hold a leadership position."

"You are to serve as a role model. Be the conduit of the leadership's will. And continue to engage your peers and help them develop into full, whole members of our Clan. Go forth and wear your title with pride... it is a rare and distinct honor."

Many congratulations go out to Guardian Ashron. He has been appointed our newest Prodigy of Plagueis. This title is reserved for our best, non-leadership member. It is a title that one may bear for the entirety of their career and, additionally, may stack the honor upon multiple receptions of the award. It is what each member should strive for... to be the best servant of their clan.
