En Route to the Cocytus System

The bridge of the _Bothan Assault Cruiser Shadow bustled with activity, the command staff milling about as the crewmen manned their stations. The long, rectangular expanse of the command center illuminated only by the soft blue glow emanating from the holopanels, tactical arrays flashing endlessly in the darkness. Commander Hodezan strode along the perimeter of the crew's stations, barking orders curtly as the cruiser prepared to emerge from hyperspace._

The Quaestor stood proud and straight-backed at the starboard viewport, his wraith-like outline reflected dimly in the transparisteel pane as he stared pensively into the shifting blue tunnel of hyperspace.

Commander Emilie Lauraugina, the Shadow's tactical analyst approached the dark-skinned Arconan and saluted smartly, addressing the slender Krath in a crisp, energized tone. “Captain, the final preparations are in place, and we'll be exiting hyperspace shortly. The squadrons are in primed and with all systems green, our marines are prepared for deployment.”

Vorion nodded, turning slowly to turn his unblinking gaze on Emilie. “Very good, Commander. Standby for the signal for final descent from the Soverign Imperator. If we are to be galactic privateers, let's at least do it with finesse, style...and overwhelming power. The invasion is at last at hand.”

Greetings, House Qel-Droma, and welcome to my first report installment as your Quaestor! For those of you who are not already familiar with me, I've been a highly active member of the Dark Brotherhood for about a year now, although I first found the Brotherhood about 5 years ago, shortly after the Exodus. Since the beginning of my active membership, I have served as a Battleteam Leader in Clan Naga Sadow briefly before settling into Clan Arcona, earning my Knighthood while assisting Rho as his Aedile in House Galeres.

.::The Clan Feud::.

The grand Feud “Uneasy Alliances: Clan Arcona/Clan Plagueis/Clan Scholae Palatinae” is nearly in it's second week, Qel-Dromans, and I expect nothing less than 100% from all of you! Our status as a Clan hangs in the balance, and as the events are primarily scored on participation, it's imperative that everyone gets as many entries as possible in. They don't all have to be majestic works of fiction or the pinnacle of flowery prose. But they should be submitted in significant quantities and should maintain a modicum of quality befitting our historically-Krath House.

Another crucial element of this is our Feud Run-On. Remember that in order to be eligible for medals for participation, you are required to post a minimum of four times. Keep it lively, and above all, don't hesitate to advance the plot if things seem to be slowing down!

As a part of Arcona's Wiki Development Drive, Tetrarch Legorii has led a dizzying initiative to give names and faces to those loyal Selenians and Eldarians that provide the backbone of our maurading fleet of darksiders! Let's do a quick dramatis personae of the crew of our very own Qel-Droma flagship, the BAC Shadow!

And that's the run-down. Don't be afraid to reference these characters and interact with them in the Feud Run-On – that's exactly what they're there for! As I've said in the past, no good tale is complete without a supporting cast for the main characters, and that's exactly what these Wiki profiles are for – to spark your imagination and give you that added background element for fictional works of all kinds.

There are still plenty of existing Arcona NPCs that need to be fleshed out, and many more that need to be created from scratch entirely, so don't hesitate to roll up your sleeves, grab a fresh Wiki page, and get creative!

.::Competitions::.

There are several Competitions running and of most pressing and immediate importance are my very own Operation: Graven Eye Wiki Trivia Competition, which ends tomorrow (July 28th) and our House Fiction Competition, Great Sacrifice: Rites of Tiamat, which ends on the 29th. So get those last-minute entries in now!

There are also a few great Brotherhood-wide Fiction Competitions outstanding, courtesy of our esteemed Fiction Tribune, Raken. Death of a Clan and Prophetical both have Arc0wnage written all over them; you've got until August 5th to have your entries to Raken, so make sure to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard, as the case may be), and represent on Arcona's behalf!

My fellow Qel-Dromans, I don't have words strong enough to convey how important it is that you create and submit entries in the Feud events! This Feud is about more than simply beating the tar out of Plagueis and Scholae Palatinae; this this is our time to demonstrate to the Brotherhood as a whole that the tide of Clan supremacy is shifting firmly into Arcona's column!

The infernal gears of our war machines are rumbling steadily, and my next report will preview some of the wargame Competitions that are planned for all Arcona in the month of August, complete with overhead maps of the staging areas, objectives and storyline! (kudos to both our HRLD Shikyo Keibatsu and to Oberst for providing much inspiration for this project.)
