[MC-80 Renegade, 1130 hours, cargo bay 2]

A collection of men and women dressed in low ranking New Republic uniforms gathered in a spacious cargo bay. The lights were low and the faces of the soldiers were grim. Many were too wounded to stand, and all had bloodstains and scorch marks on their uniforms. They gathered around in a small group to listen to their Aedile.

An older gentleman dressed in a New Republic second lieutenant's uniform stood at the center of the group, hands clasped behind his back. His uniform had several large tears which had been mended, as well as a number of dark colored stains. Some were still wet with blood. The uniform had clearly seen better days. He took a drink from his flask before beginning the meeting.

"Gladians," he began. "Communications have been restored with the Doomsday. It looks like we'll be able to return soon and finally make our way home to Yridia. We have suffered a lot of injuries but you guys have all been doing an excellent job. Hold yourselves together, rely on one another, and we'll be out of this soon."

"May the Darkness guide you always. Thank you."

[OOC Notes]

The website is back up again, but the database they used was dated from August 7th. The MAA has records of everything that happened between now and the 7th and is in the process of restoring everything by hand. I expect this to take a few days at least. In the meantime, he has asked that nobody submit any requests which means there won't be any medals or promotions until he's got everything back up to date.

Now that the site is back up, I'd like to see renewed activity! It was a pretty quiet week without the web site, but let's not fall into a rut.

I will be on leave between 08/27/2008 and 09/04/2008. I'm going to Disney World! Since we can't submit new requests in the database, I doubt you guys will miss me much. I will have my laptop and hopefully internet access. Apollo has my cell phone number in case of emergencies, but I really doubt that will be necessary.

Please don't forget about Ronovi's three competitions for the Arcano Signum: Dark Side Poetry, What's Our Motto?, and A Day in the Life. There are medals up for grabs in every competition, but you can't win anything if you don't participate!
