Site Update

Well, the website is still down. I know Jac and Co are working on it, though. I haven’t received any updates about progress. And, I didn’t really the last two times either. We just have to trust Jac and Co to get things going again as soon as they can.

Just remember that everything that anyone does for the Brotherhood is entirely on a volunteer basis. That means we’ve got to take what we can get, and all in all, I’d say we’ve got a really good group of talented individuals. A few of you have made some snide and offhand comments about needing to hire a professional coder. Well, either learn to code yourself or start donating (I think you can still send it to Jac’s Paypal account). Because, if you can’t or won’t do either of those, don’t complain when the DB has to rely on the talents that the members bring to the table.

Now, on the other hand, if you guys want to start paying me to be Consul, and can somehow manage to match my annual salary, then we might have something to talk about :P

The wiki and message boards are still good.

Trailer Release

In lieu of the white screen with black text, they have changed the alert page. Now there is a teaser trailer for the upcoming Great Jedi War. Don’t worry, it is safe to go watch the video. For those too lazy to go watch it, the date is confirmed as January 2009, and the event is called “Unification.”

Ronovi picks up Double Honors

Asides from her victory in the Renegade Duology, Ronovi has also been named as the new Aedile of Cestus! To add to that, her wiki article is also the feature article of the month. Way to go Ronovi!

Promotions

Since the site went back up the last time, we managed to sneak a few promotions in. Ronovi was promoted to Jedi Hunter, and Vampre was promoted to Guardian.

Super Secret Clan Project

Dranik and I are still working on it. We’ve made significant progress, though. That is all I can say; in fact, perhaps I have said too much :P

Competitions

Your house leaders should be taking over the majority of activities for the time being. We’ve run two decent sized clan competitions almost back to back, and I quite frankly need a break. All medals and such will still be rewarded, so don’t think that just because the website is down, you don’t need to be active. And that leads me to my final topic:

The Clan AWOL Policy

Because of some recent questions and such, here is the clan’s AWOL policy.

1.Consistent activity is the only way for regular members to remain on the roster permanently. Eventually, inactive members will be removed. Competitions are the primary form of activity, but working on special projects for the clan can count. Things like notably working on your wiki article also count.

2.Responding to e-mail based AWOL checks will only buy you a temporary reprieve from the activity requirement.

3.Tarentae and elders are encouraged to be active and participate, but they have earned the privilege of remaining in the clan even if they don’t.

4.If you’re going on leave, set it on your dossier. If the site is down, like it is now, e-mail your house and clan leaders about it. This also includes times when you’re internet access may be very limited.
