Greetings Gladius!

Now that my life is smoothing out a bit, I can finally concentrate on the things I need to catch up on. Mostly, my reports. I tried to keep up with the clan run-on, but I was only able to post a few times. Though I seen it turned out decently, which is great to see. But never the less, It appears my schedule from my two jobs is working smoothly at the moment and the only two days I should be out of contact on a weekly basis is Friday and Saturday nights (us time). The rest, baring any problems with the net, should be spent right here. :)

First off, I want to say welcome to all those new members we have received. There are quite a few of them too, which I am happy to see. You will find a lot of helpful hands here in Gladius and a lot of room to grow. There are plenty of members here that you can talk to if you have questions, so always feel free to talk to someone. Myself or AED Scion should be around anytime you need us. If not, SGT. Ronovi should be able to provide any answers you need if we cant be reached.

Now I want to address the Clan Comp. Some of you did extremely well, namely JH Ronovi. She went completely above and beyond in terms of participation. Especially in the run-on. Her posts became vital for the story to continue. Her grasp of her fellow clansman and her ease of ability to write them well shows her vast writing talent. Her extensive medal count is proof enough of that, not to mention her recent promotion to JH. Congrats and well done! :)

Several of you did great as well. Donos, Scion, Troutrooper, and even Windos got into the act in one way or another. While our showing was decent, there are always ways to improve. Myself included. I used to be quite good at run-ons, but as the most recent example shows.. I have a lot to learn and to catch up on. Even if you become a Consul or higher in your time in the DB, always know there is more to learn. Never stop wanting more knowledge. The timeless quote says it all "Knowledge is Power."

There have been a few promotions besides Ronovi. Balia Donos, Septim Jagastus to name a few. I want to say congrats to them. You all make me very proud. :)

I also notice a lot of you continuing your training in the SA. Keep it up. It looks great for your promotion recs and it also gives you more knowledge for the future. I myself am planning on doing a few more in the near future. Maybe there's a comp in there for that. We shall see. ;)

Speaking of Comps, I'm going to let things cool down a bit this week. Let those who worked hard in the Clan Comp relax a bit. Several of us have done a lot these past few weeks and need a rest. But I'm looking on brining back an old comp I had from when I first became AED back in March or so. That should start in the next week or two. I plan on seeing more entries than I did last time. It will also be a two-part comp. So keep an eye out for it.

Another thing I want to talk about is gaming. There is a big thread going on in the clan summit email group about gaming in the DB. I know we have a few avid gamers in here. I know I love first person shooters and flight sims myself and I think we can do very well in it. But I want to see what the rest of you think about it. Should we pursue gaming more actively than we have in the past? And if so, do you want us to stay on tradition Star Wars games, or branch out into games like Call of Duty 4 or maybe MMORPGs like World of Warcraft or others? I know if have both CoD4 and WoW than I can connect with other members of Gladius or Tarentum if we so choose. I would love to get a CoD4 server going for the clan if we can. Password protected of course. We'll see what we can do about that. But for now, go ahead and reply to the house mailing list. I want to see what everyone thinks about this. It's going to be a big topic in the future for the Clan and when I answer for our house, I want to make sure I'm giving them what the house truly wants, not just what a few people want.

Lastly, I want to take this time to thank AED Scion for his complete awesomeness in handling the entire house while I was busy with RL things. He has done a great job and continued his reports on time every week. He is a great AED and a great friend. I just hope he's having fun in Disneyworld without us. :P
