Headmaster Report #15

October 3rd, 9 PM, Cartoon Network, Clone Wars. I don't know about you, but I'm ready. I'll admit I wasn't incredibly impressed by the movie, but I am much more excited about the series. Probably because there will be so many episodes not about cry-baby Anakin, but Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, General Grievous, and on and on and on. Sadly, I work Friday nights, so I'll have to Tivo it, but needless to say I can't wait. The trailer for the series can be found on YouTube.

News

--The website was found to have a few more security holes in it, so Jac and his staff had to come to the rescue again. Like my last report, this one was delayed due to the site problems, but hopefully this will be the last time. The SA site is working fine, though, so keep on taking those exams (and grading them)!!

--The trailer for the Ninth Great Jedi War, "Unification", was posted on the DB site, despite it being down. If you haven't seen it, go check it out in Raken's plot update. Speaking of which, Raken's third plot update was released, very well done. He's no doubt one of the Brotherhood's top writers.

--With the sense of war growing, I'm going to try and start writing little fictional developments in each of my reports. The fictional side of things is really important, but there isn't much of it when it comes to the Shadow Academy. Hopefully, we can add some flavor with these, and my goal is to amp it up enough to start having DB-wide competitions that are SA-oriented. For now, though, just updates. Expect them to start in the next report.

--Hopefully, we will be able to release the new course in my next report. The notes are finalized, but due to a small coding glitch in the SA admin site, I have been unable to upload the exam. Jac is really busy, but once he gets that fixed I'll put in the exam and then release the course.

Projects

--School is really busy for me lately, but nonetheless I am going through and uploading SA audits. I'm off all this week, so expect them to be finished up by my next report.

--Along with the usual new courses and finishing up the audits, we're also working on finalizing some Dark Vault stuff, fictional developments, as well as finishing up the SA Wiki pages and fleet, which should also be finished during my week off. To prove how backed up we are, the next new course was finalized in February, but isn't being released until September. So... yeah...

Featured Course of the Report

In anticipation of our new course being released soon, this report's featured course is Force Philosophy! The Force is everywhere, but how exactly do you explain what it is? Lucas tried to do so with midichlorians, but even knowing that it is still a strange... entity. This course tries to answer some of the more common questions. Since we are all connected to the Force, I would say this is one of the more relevant courses, especially when it comes to writing fiction.
