Dark Greetings Clan Naga Sadow,

It is report time again (and slightly earlier than I normally do it). I'm sure by now we are all aware our Consul has stepped down and returned to Ludo Kressh. Ashia is currently on LoA getting a well earned rest. I can see her sitting somewhere sunny drinking margaritas (and getting Muz to do all the housework!)

CNS Consul position has been opened up club wide; all is required in the application is a 30/60/90 day planner. If you think this is something you want to experience then apply. (Yes, I have applied but in the interested of fair play I am given the same chances as everyone else. )

Clan Code

Disciples of Sadow (that’s CNS members) follow a code similar to the Dark Jedi Code but highlight what makes us stand out from the rest of the Brotherhood as a Clan. This code was established by none other then Dark Jedi Master Tron Sadow, Founder and Overlord of Clan Naga Sadow. This is what makes us unique and as one.

Loyalty - Faithfulness or a devotion to a cause… this being our clan and its members.

Sacrifice - Selfless good deeds for others.

Honor - An ideal for members to uphold: honesty, respect, integrity and fairness.

Courage - To face uncertainty, and to have the will to stand together as a unified front, to stand up for the ideals this clan (and the Brotherhood on whole) stands for.

Commitment - Being part of one Clan and being committed to it as long as we are members.

Hard Work- To understand that nothing comes to those who don’t put in the effort. Be it as a leader or an active member. It never goes unnoticed.

New Golden Age?

CNS has been infamous for it mythic "golden age" under certain Consul's in the past. Someone like me who has only been in the clan for about 15 months have heard the more senior members rattle on and talk of "bringing it back".

However I recently heard something on the Conclave mailing list that put it all in perspective. It was something our resident Sith Lord said. And I am going to quote him here; sorry Xanos, but its just too good to let it slip by and now not use.

"I think that’s a message that perhaps has gotten lost in the last year or two with everyone constantly talking about some “golden age” and forgetting that you already have a “golden age”. It’s called right here, right now.

You’re all living in it.

Make the most of your golden age, and stop trying to resurrect the past, because the truth is that nothing has changed apart from the people in it."

Come the end of the week we'll have a new Consul, however the direction wont change so much. What we all need is to take a look at where we are. Our strengths, our weaknesses, what opportunities are open to us and what threats there are to the stability of our clan.

I think the message is clear: look to the now. I even listed below a couple of things I think that might help us as members:

Enthusiasm

Activity is the key element for any member; if you not active then how are you doing to have any fun? Take part in competitions? Try out for a position within the club/clan?

At the end of the day this organization is all about YOU. It can only be your Golden Age if you make it happen. You have to remember us leaders dont make the clan; it's you. We just deal with the stuff you shouldn't have to worry about in order for you to keep enjoying yourselves.

So as the Sith Lord said... lets start something amazing... something fantastic... lets all live in the moment and make this the best clan around.

Proconsul Real Life

I decided to do a SWOT analysis for the clan. What is SWOT? It's a business tool that means Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats. The only business the clan is in is making this a fun and proactive group of Star War geeks. :P

I was debating whether or not to put it in this report, but then I thought it something that you as members should be bothered with. If I'm wrong please let me know and I'll share it with you,

I know a few people wouldn't mind seeing me as Consul, and it is something I'm gunning for. I got the same chances as anyone else who applies. But if I dont get it I can still do all I need to do as Proconsul. At the end of the day there is going to be one new member to the Clan Summit... be it a Consul or a Proconsul. As a member of the Clan Summit I'm going to support whoever gets installed (so I'll even be supporting myself if I get Consulship :P)

I know many are worried we might get an outsider, but hey... we were all outsiders once upon a time. We just need to show our support and help whoever it may be (even if its me).
