House Dinaari Quaestor Report #27 - October 18, 2008

Greetings all,

<p>Finally things have settled down as the main DJB website has been up and secure for a fair bit now. Hopefully it lasts but who knows with all the crap on the internet. At any rate there are two weeks left until the month ends which means various things are coming up. When November hits I will be awarding merit medals (i.e. Dark Cross, Anteian Cross, etc.) to members of this House who have shown adequate activity over the past three months; looking at my records we should be seeing a lot of Dark Crosses for the most part, maybe an Antei Cross or two. There's still plenty of time to put in some good activity by the end of the month to earn a better medal so get to it! There is always gaming going on in #dbgaming plus there's always tons of competitions going on.

<p>The biggest DJB-wide news is that the Master-At-Arms (MAA) office has released new requirements for Journeyman promotions (DJK and lower). Our Clan guidelines are no longer valid so if you need an idea on what to do to advance in this club you can click HERE to view them on the DJBWiki. These are subject to change but keep an eye on that page so you know what to do. If you have any questions whatsoever, be sure to let me know immediately.

<p>So ... the next Great Jedi War (GJW) will be in January. While it seems like a fair bit away in reality it's less than three (3) months away. The other Clans think - yet again - that this is their time to shine. If you read their reports - when their leaders are actually active enough to make them - they all say they are capable of winning the GJW. Technically that's true in theory but in reality they're just lying to themselves. Taldryan has NEVER lost a Great Jedi War since our Clan was created and this won't be the first. It won't be a cakewalk - CSP in particular has been gunning for us - but the high quality of our members along with our dedication should be enough to carry the War. Still, we need all of YOU to participate in whatever you can. After Thanksgiving we will start getting you ready to participate in the most important event the Brotherhood has to offer.

<p>Tarax is running a Halloween competition that you should all partake in (CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS). Be sure to send him your submissions - be sure to include me - by the end of the month for easy competition participation and possible Crescents. Also keep an eye out for my trivia in your e-mail.

<p>House Dinaari and Clan Taldryan proudly recognize the following individuals on their recent honors ...

<p>Corax "Baron" Zarjin earned himself a Crescent w/ Sapphire Star for obtaining 1st Place in the weekly Tal Caption Competition. Our very own (sharp) Aedile, Tarax Eosphoros Kor, snagged a Crescent w/ Topaz Star for his efforts in getting 3rd place in the same competition.

<p>Aside from that our new member, Genesis, passed the Leadership Exam at the Shadow Academy so well done to him. Finally, I snagged a Legion of the Scholar for getting 2nd place in #db trivia ... go me!

<p>To wrap things up be sure to check out our Clan website (Tal.net) to see the latest news and information about our Clan. The House currently has two competitions running this month and there is a Clan-wide competition on the messageboard. Add in the DJB-wide competitions (i.e. Fiction Tribune) and there's something for everyone.

<p>I know things have been slow around here but that's common. A lot of us are busy with school and other things so of course the DJB comes second. Don't be a stranger though ... show up on IRC and talk with your fellow Clan members. Discuss the new Force Unleashed game, play a game of Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, or Empire at War. Something! This club is only as much fun as the effort you put into it. Have a great week!
