Jade looked out the window and saw the various civilians running around the streets, some buying necessary items for the move, while store owners jacked up the prices for the whole supply and demand. Well it wasnt as if the authorities were really going to do anything about ripping people off. No they were all involved in the evacuation process. It was definitely a scums territory on the streets, and everyone knew it, keeping valuable possessions hidden well and storing them in their vehicles as tight and as inconspicuous as possible. Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Her words pinging against the glass in the midday glow, fogging up her view of the streets below. She whipped it off and watched as another few speeders took off down the streets and a couple shuttles ripped through the atmosphere into space, taking them away from danger on the horizon. They may have been moving to temporary locations but she wondered exactly how many were actually going to come back and settle under their darkened wings.
She turned from the window and looked around the room. Various boxes still remained although not many. As she thought about it, a couple workers came and removed some of the boxes to the craft she had waiting for the items and artifacts she had gone on a personal mission to rescue. Soon they would be leaving to a new home; soon the dust settling behind them would be stirred up as they lead investigations into who would dare to test and destroy their shadowed refuge! It was a promise. It was destiny.
