It's Guy Fawkes Night today in the United Kingdom, and although for us its a time to set off fireworks I think the there is something else for us to be proud of. Last night I stayed up from 11pm to 5.15 am to watch Barack Obama win the Presidential election. While I am not an American, I can still feel a great sense of change coming to the world. I feel we are entering the true spirit of the 21st Century.

Disciples of Sadow (that’s CNS members) follow a code similar to the Dark Jedi Code but highlight what makes us stand out from the rest of the Brotherhood as a Clan. This code was established by none other then Dark Jedi Master Tron Sadow, Founder and Overlord of Clan Naga Sadow. This is what makes us unique and as one.

Loyalty - Faithfulness or a devotion to a cause… this being our clan and its members.

Sacrifice - Selfless good deeds for others.

Honor - An ideal for members to uphold: honesty, respect, integrity and fairness.

Courage - To face uncertainty, and to have the will to stand together as a unified front, to stand up for the ideals this clan (and the Brotherhood on whole) stands for.

Commitment - Being part of one Clan and being committed to it as long as we are members.

Hard Work- To understand that nothing comes to those who don’t put in the effort. Be it as a leader or an active member. It never goes unnoticed.

The term team building generally refers to the selection, development, and collective motivation of result-oriented teams. Team building is pursued via a variety of practices, such as group self-assessment and group-dynamic games, and generally sits within the theory and practice of organizational development.

When a team in an organizational development context embarks upon a process of self-assessment in order to gauge its own effectiveness and thereby improve performance, it can be argued that it is engaging in team building, although this may be considered a narrow definition.

The process of team building includes,

* clarifying the goal, and building ownership across the team and  

* identifying the inhibitors to teamwork and removing or overcoming them, or if they cannot be removed, mitigating their negative effect on the team.  

To assess itself, a team seeks feedback to find out both:

* its current strengths as a team  

* its current weakness  

To improve its current performance, a team uses the feedback from the team assessment in order to:

* identify any gap between the desired state and the actual state  

* design a gap-closure strategy_  

This is something I urge all members to take a look at (especially those in leadership positions). This is something that I am attempting engage. How am I going to try and do this?

1)Group-dynamic games, such as run-ons and gaming.

2)Ideas and feedback from you.

3)Identifying our strength's and weaknesses.

4)Identifying role models for members to look up too.

I downloaded the EndWar demo on PS3. It's pretty interesting game, it uses real voice command. In fact, I would love to challenge other PS3 players to a game as the demo has a multiplayer function. Hell, there are a lot of PS3 players in CNS then I might start a EndWar Tournament competition. ;)
