HSK Aedile Report:

Greetings Satal Keto

I hope all has been well with each of you over the past two months. From the activity in my inbox, there sure has been quite a bit done by each of you and I would like to thank you all for the work and dedication each of you have done during that time.

For myself, things obviously haven't been the greatest. For those that already know of what was going on, I thank you for your emails and patience. For the rest of you that didn't; just days before Thanksgiving (The Canadian version, in October :P) my grandma fell and broke several bones. For the past 3 months before that her had been suffering from breast cancer which they can't cure due to the fact her diabetes has wrecked her heart so much that they can't put her under for kemo. So the cancer has been spreading and weakening her entire body. So when she fell, she seriously broke her knee, hip, and shoulder. Because of this we thought she was going to die so I asked Alaris and Bracen for some time away. Fortunately she got better, but because of the damage she was needing to stay in the hospital and as the closest relative I was place as primary contact. So for the past 2 months I have been driving back and forth between london and wingham to check on her while working on school whenever possible. Fortunately, last week we got her into a nursing home so that I don't have to be constantly there. So with development, my time has freed up for the brotherhood again.

My apologies go out to the house as a whole for what I sure many of you thought was abandonment of you by the Aedile. This wasn't the case, after I discovered it would be some time before I could return to duty I asked Alaris and the Clan summit to consider my resignation. Fortunately for me, they have patiently awaited my return so I am back now to resume my position of Aedile of this house and Alaris' number two.

While I'm sure this report will get long with all the details from the past two months I have to report, I do promise to keep this as breif and short as possible.

_ A Re-introduction_

Just for general knowledge, I thought I would reintroduce myself for anyone that has joined since my appointment or for those that have forgot. Who am I?

I'm Brett; formly known as Warhunter, and now known as Raiju Kang. As of now, I've held every position within HSK. I'm also one of the few remaining CSKers who was here through the merge, and likewise I'm a leader who's held a number of middle rank positions in the DB.

My Plans as Aedile

As I went over with Alaris during my original appliction process, I have several plans and projects for HSK that work through several areas of focus. You can see them below, as they were originally seen from my application:

There is so much about House Satal Keto that is still to be written. Much of this is my fault when I was Quaestor twice before, but there is so much about its past and its present that could be written and hasn’t been yet not to mention what will come in the future. When I designed the planet HSK settled on when I was QUA the second time, mainly all we developed were names and certain places of interest on our planet. While I’ve seen that some of it has been expanded on (Silent’s addition to the planet was great) it could still use some more as could the unit as a whole. Likewise, so can the membership’s place within the unit. It shouldn’t just be the QUAs and AEDs being written into the house’s history, our members many times contribute just as much as the summits do and sometimes more and should be highlighted for this. Not just to let future generations of HSKers know about these people, but as a resource to promote activity. Cause who really doesn't want the title of "Hero of Satal Keto"?

Advancement:

Every member has the right to be a Dark Jedi Master. That has been my philosophy for some time now. We are all fans, we all love Star Wars, and I presume that we all want to be Dark Jedi Masters because of this. So why are people stuck in some form at a ranking that they have no desire to be at or may not even have a connection to our realm of interest. Member Advancement is going to be another area of focus of mine as Aedile. Too many people in HSK have been in their rank for too long. Two years since the last promotion and still not a JH? That’s just sad. No, I'm not going to give out random promotions to DJM, but as Aedile I would like to get quite intimate with my members and regularly send them tips and tools to get to their next level.

BT Strengthening:

While I freely admit that I sit on the fence in terms to the usefulness of Battleteams, I’m not one to openly dismiss them. In the right hands, and with the right support they can be quite useful and I’ve found that when they exist purely as an “elite” unit it forces members to work more to be in them and it gives some characteristics to them. A good example is the Soulfire Strike team in Arcona which no only acts in the same manners listed above but it also gives the membership a chance to get involved in the house’s history through this resource as (when its properly supported) it’s a clear expectation of what your character is doing for the house and is therefore more likely to be included in any official house history. To clarify, say in a house runon a member goes on with a plot solely involving them that saves the house in some way while another member or group of members write about how Keto’s Vengeance saved the Quaestor. Its more realistic and more team/unit developing to make the second case a part of the history and there plausible to do so which gives the membership an increased boost in loyalty (and activity :P). So a goal of mine as Aedile, is to see the strengthening of the house’s Bts in a way that will insure their usefulness and as a resource keep members more committed to their units.

Projects:

So now you know what I want to do as Aedile, so how am I going to do it? Well, Alaris and I have several projects and plans that will address these and while I'm mostly be reporting on the unit's activity from this point on while Alaris handles the official house news and message, I will from time to time announce personal projects for these areas of focus and their development so make sure yo keep your eyes focused on these reports because I will be looking for help from time to time. Recruitment

In Tridens I had a huge recruitment plan mapped out for the clan that I was going to use for them. However, luckily for CP and HSK, I was never able to start it there so I've brought it with me to HSK. As a former BSC member, I know of many clans and servers outside the DB that are regularly played still. Even JK is a game that gets 100 matches a month in the DJO, and I intent to steal some of those members from these clans and servers for the DB.

House Wiki

For sometime now the house history has been incomplete, especially regarding out creation. As a member who was around then, I'd like to use my knowledge of CSK and this House to create a complete history of the house from forming until now. As a noob to wiki coding, I will need some help so feel free to shoot me an email if you are interested in helping.
