<div class="\\"header\">## Seneschal Report

December 14, 2008

This is my first report as Seneschal and as such, I suppose I should introduce myself to those of you that don\'t know me. I\'m Orv Dessrx d\'Tana and I\'ve been a member of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood since early 2007 (and M:SCL almost as long). I joined Clan Arcona at the urging of Mejas Doto and there I\'ve remained, happily developing the Arcona site along with a number of things for the DJB site as a whole. In real life I\'m the Lead Programmer at my job and head a small team to steer development - I plan on bringing that development and project management experience to the table to aid in my duties as Seneschal (or perhaps I\'ll use my experience as Seneschal to aid my RL work :).

I\'ve got big shoes to fill and I\'ll do my best to make that happen. Needless to say that I\'ll miss my Clan - who are a great bunch of people. Don\'t think I won\'t be crashing your IRC Channel on a regular (permanent?) basis!

Character Sheets

Yup. You know it. I know it. The big news is that the character sheets have been launched. Everyone that made the sheets possible are awesome. Additionally, there have been some bright shining stars that have done some amazing testing and bug posting which is really helps make a strong product - so thanks guys!

Bugs? Yeah. Consider the sheets in \"Live Beta.\" As Jac has stated before, if you find bugs...please post them [here](\"http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5548\). The SCL team has been hammering away at the issues that have been posted over the past couple of days and we\'ll continue to bang those kinks out.

Stepping into this position and taking on all of its responsibilities will be a daunting task and I\'ve asked Karel Tarentae to aid me. He\'s been vital in the launch of the sheets and really knows his stuff, so I\'m really happy to have him as my right hand man!

<span class="\\"ul\">Character Sheets <span class="\\"status\">(Status: 85%)

Launched. There are still some things to wrap up with this. Full ACC functionality will be released soon along with some sweet sheet features that will help everyone realize how awesome the Discipline system can be! Plus we have some bugs to fix.

<span class="\\"ul\">Security Audit <span class="\\"status\">(Status: 10%)

I\'ll be contacting each of the Clan Summits and other groups with a list of people that have FTP access to their directories. I want to get rid of the access that is no longer needed.

<span class="\\"ul\">Directory Audit/Cleanup <span class="\\"status\">(Status: 0%)

There are a plethora of directories on the DJB site...many of which are no longer needed. Those will be archived away. The directories that are needed will receive some much needed Orv loving (a.k.a. organization).

<span class="\\"ul\">Fiction News <span class="\\"status\">(Status: 70%)

The SCL Office is working on a way to allow DJB sanctioned fiction that advances the DJB storyline to be posted similar to news. Should be pretty sweet once finished.

<span class="\\"ul\">Secret Project - Codename: Huggabunch <span class="\\"status\">(Status: 50%)

I started this project for a DC member when I was M:SCL. This will continue once the GJW is finished. w00t.

<span class="\\"ul\">Secret Project - Codename: Bologna Sandwhich <span class="\\"status\">(Status: 0%)

This is a project that I\'ve been dying to sink my teeth in to for a long time. A lot of planning has been done by a number of DC members on this project already, but coding has not begun. This will be awesome. This will take a long time. It hasn\'t started yet, but will post GJW.

<span class="\\"ul\">Not-So-Secret Project - Codename: I Love LAMP <span class="\\"status\">(Status: 0.875%)

MySQL > SQL Server. PHP > ASP. Enough said. Stay tuned. This will be a sloooowww project with many baby steps.

I\'m sure there\'s more that should be on my plate that I haven\'t been told about cause I\'m a DC n00b. This list will undoubtedly grow.

Christmas is coming and so is my family. I\'ll have a full house for the holidays and will be coding between the familial interactions. Whee.
