[The Sword's Sheath, 1130 hours, Conference Room 12]

An older gentleman in gray robes with red trim stood at the head of a conference room table. His eyes scanned across the many empty seats. He gestured slightly at the three nervous young Apprentices who had come in to the room but still stood awkwardly near the door. They heeded his gesture and took seats near the back.

"Tarenti," the Aedile began, "we have entered a time of great change in the Dark Brotherhood. Our Clan is preparing and training, and rumor has it that we have a major conflict in our future. It is imperative at this time that we get this House ready for the upcoming conflict. To that end, I would like to announce some restructuring that will be taking effect immediately."

Scion took a sip from his flask before continuing the meeting.

[Roster Changes]

I mentioned some possible changes in last week's report. Here are the details, which will go into effect tonight:

1) The Keepers of the Night roster has been cleared except for Windos, who will remain as its leader. We are going to work harder to make the Keepers a truly elite Battle Team, which has been its purpose all along. Its members will be expected to maintain a high level of activity, and to excel in those activities. As a member of the Keepers of the Night, you can expect to have a multitude of competitions to participate in and many opportunities to win medals and other recognition.

2) The Arcano Signum has been closed. We have had an influx of new faces and we have been somewhat derelict in removing inactive people, so the battle team became full. Closing it will reduce some of my paperwork when a new person joins, and it will prevent anybody slipping through the cracks.

3) Balia Donos is our new Rollmaster. In essence, Donos' job will not change at all. His job will be to look after everybody in the House below the rank of DJK and to help them progress through the Journeyman ranks. He will also be responsible for running House-wide competitions targeted at our Journeymen to make sure they have plenty of opportunities to learn, and to shine.

4) Inactive people are being moved to the Rogues. I'm sending out this report before I send my list to Kaek, so everybody will get a fair warning of what is happening. I doubt anybody who is about to be sent to the Rogues will be surprised by the decision. That being said, I would like to stress that if anybody thinks the House Summit has made a mistake in sending them to the Rogues, they are welcome to come back at any time.

I am looking for fights in the ACC. Challenge me! If you need help qualifying, I'm happy to proofread your writing and help get you ready for it.

If any Journeymen are interested in finding a Master to help guide you, please contact me by replying to this report and I will help you find somebody. The Master/Student Program (MSP) is by far the best way to become successful in the Dark Brotherhood. There is no substitute for having an experienced person there specifically to help you be successful.

It works the other way around, too. If you are eligible to be a Master and you're looking for a student, please let me know and I'll see if I can find you one.

Please remember to let me know of anything you do that might count as activity. Don't worry about bothering me too much; it's my job to keep track of this stuff. Keep in mind that if you do something but you don't win any medals for it, I won't know about it unless you tell me. That includes ACC, wiki stuff, as well as submitting to competitions. Awards are tied to participation and it all still counts even if you don't win.
