TRIDENS BREAKING NEWS (Continued)

Additional notes on the competition about the Yuuzhan Vong Missions, since some people telling me about their difficulty to write.

Mission A. Capturing a Vong

• We are now in 30 ABY and Galactic Alliance has defeated Yuuzhan Vong in Second Battle of Corruscant (29 ABY- see http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Second_Battle_of_Coruscant_(Yuuzhan_Vong_War)). Eventhough Warmaster Choka has surrended to the Galactic Alliance, some other Vong (especially in other distant places) did not accept that decision to surrender and be back to Zonama Zekot, otherwise continued to fight as "remnants alike".

• I have attached the map of Yuuzhan Vong Territory in 29 ABY, so you can figure out where your mission will take place (choose the easiest ;))

• You don't have to capture them on your own in your story, you can write as a team, or paired with an Equite or an Elder or your master or with a help of NPC bounty hunters, affiliation with Galactic Alliance soldiers etc. There are three battle teams in Tridens. But if you elligible enough, why not ? It should be interesting enough if you can work there like a Ninja doing his work. BUT again write as realistic as you can to capture a target. See the Yuuzhan Vong GJW 7.zip for their personal statistics and castes. See the difficulties. See the potential traps. See things that can hurt you.

• Yuuzhan Vong is not invincible! But, again see each caste statistic. You cannot defeat or capture a Supreme Overlord when you are now a mere Acolyte and doing the catch by your own . It's not realistic, very very unrealistic. So, avoid that target and find the one who fits to you.

• Yuuzhang Vong Castes

  • Supreme Overlord: Grand Ruler of the Yuuzhan Vong (only GM or a handful Elders can deal with this caste)
    
  • Warrior caste: The soldiers
    
  • Intendant caste: Political and economic
    
  • Priest caste: Speakers for the Gods
    
  • Shaper caste: Scientists
    
  • Worker caste: Largest group; menial, unskilled labor
    
  • Shamed Ones: Yuuzhan Vong who failed or rejected implants (part of Workers, but scorned even by them)
    

Mission B. Examining a Vong

• Okay, maybe you don't have time to travel around to capture a Vong (in case you are unable to write the Mission A) or you are delighted enough to dissect your captive (the one you have captured in Mission A). We offer you an adequate facility (in Yridia II or other Yridia planet, prefered Yridia II) ready to cage and examine the captive.

• Remember the "Independence Day" movie when the doctors examined the alien? Well it was just an example of physical examination. Yuuzhan Vong is a unique, almost unidentified race. YV is fond of organic substance, views mechanical technology as blasphemy, loves pain and organ grafting to enhance or improve their physical ability. Terrifiying character but hey, Dark Side follower is more... chilling ;) What will you find? What will you do to the Vong?

The deadline is this Sunday, January 31. BUT, if you need an extention, just tell me. This competition is for our pre-review to what we will fight against in the upcoming GJW. (Remember the GJW will start at March 1, don't miss it!)
